George Tabori
George Tabori ( György Tábori; 24 May 1914 – 23 July 2007) was a Hungarian writer and theatre director. Life and career Tabori was born in Budapest as György Tábori, a son of Kornél and Elsa Tábori. His father Kornél (Cornelius) was murdered in Auschwitz in 1944, but his mother and his brother Paul Tabori (writer and psychical researcher), managed to escape the Nazis. As a young man, Tabori travelled to Berlin but was forced to leave Nazi Germany in 1935 because of his Jewish background. He first went to London, where he worked for the BBC and received British citizenship. In 1947 he emigrated to the United States, where he became a translator (mainly of works by Bertolt Brecht and Max Frisch) and a screenwriter including Alfred Hitchcock's movie '' I Confess'' (1953). Kristoffer Tabori
Kristoffer Tabori (also known as K.T. Donaldson, born Christopher Donald Siegel; August 4, 1952) is an American actor and television director. Early life Tabori was born in Malibu, California, the son of American film director Don Siegel and Swedish-American actress Viveca Lindfors. He appeared in one of his mother's films, '' Weddings and Babies'', as a young boy. In 1995, they appeared together in ''Last Summer in the Hamptons''. His parents divorced in 1953 and Lindfors married Hungarian writer and director George Tabori. Kristoffer adopted his stepfather's surname and changed the English spelling of his forename. László Tábori
László Tábori (July 6, 1931 – May 23, 2018) was a Hungarian middle- and long-distance runner, best known for equalling the 1500 metres world record and placing 4th in that event at the 1956 Summer Olympics. Early career and rise to fame Tábori was born in Košice. Although he had already taken up running in his youth, his serious career only started in the early 1950s under Mihály Iglói, the legendary coach of Tábori's club, Honvéd Budapest. Already part of the world-record-breaking 1953 and 1954 4 x 1500 metres relay teams of Hungary and the Honvéd Budapest club respectively, he exploded to international fame in 1955, together with Iglói's other star pupils, Sándor Iharos and István Rózsavölgyi. Lena Tabori
Lena Tabori is the founder of Welcome Enterprises, Inc., co-founder of Stewart, Tabori & Chang (STC), and co-founder (with Mike Shatzkin) of www.climatechangeresources.org, a website to combat climate change. She began her publishing career in 1967 at Harry N. Abrams, remains a partner (with Clark Wakabayashi) at Welcome Enterprises Inc, after selling the Welcome Books imprint (under which Welcome Enterprises published visual books) to Rizzoli in 2014. Welcome Enterprises continues to package books for other publishers, including Disney. Her activity is primarily focused on the website, however.
