Tabaimo
Ayako Tabata (born 1975), also known under her artist name Tabaimo, is a contemporary Japanese artist. She combines hand-drawn images and digital manipulation to create large scale animations which evoke traditional Japanese woodblock prints ('' ukiyo-e'') while presenting a pointed, complex view of Japanese society. The name "Tabaimo" is a portmanteau of her last name, Tabata, and the Japanese word imōto ( いもうと), meaning "little sister." Early life and education Ayako Tabata was born in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. She is the middle of three sisters. Her father was a salaryman; her mother, Shion Tabata, is a ceramicist who creates traditional dinnerware in the style of Ogata Kenzan. She graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design in 1999. Career Tabaimo's first video installation, ''Japanese Kitchen'', directed while she was still a student, attracted attention. Batsheva Dance Company
The Batsheva Dance Company (Hebrew: להקת בת שבע) is a renowned dance company based in Tel Aviv, Israel. It was founded by Martha Graham and Baroness Batsheva de Rothschild in 1964. Its inception was inspired by Israel's growing interest in American modern dance, mainly Martha Graham and Anna Sokolow. Classes in Graham technique were offered at the time, some taught by Rina Schenfeld and Rena Gluck, who were the company's principal dancers for many years. Bethsabee de Rothschild withdrew her funding in 1975, and the company gradually shed the Graham aesthetic that had dominated its early years. During this transitional period, the company began including the works of emerging Israeli choreographers into its repertory. Soon after Ohad Naharin was appointed artistic director in 1990, he founded the youth company Batsheva Ensemble, for dancers from 18 and 24. The Fondation Cartier pour l'Art Contemporain, known simply as the Fondation Cartier, is a contemporary art museum located at 261 boulevard Raspail in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, 14th arrondissement of the France, French capital, Paris.
