TVS Motor Company (commonly known as TVS) is an Indian multinational motorcycle manufacturer headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is the third largest motorcycle company in India with a revenue of over in 2018–19. The company has an annual sales of three million units and an annual capacity of over four million vehicles. A moped ( ) is a type of small motorcycle, generally having a less stringent licensing requirement than full motorcycles or automobiles. The TVS Scooty is a brand of Scooters made by TVS Motors of India. It is marketed mainly to women, and in 2009 was the largest selling brand among scooters aimed specifically at women buyers, selling about 25,000 units per month, compared to about 60,000 per month for the overall top selling scooter in India. TVS Ntorq 125
TVS Ntorq 125 is a motor scooter manufactured by TVS Motor Company in India. It is powered by a single cylinder, four stroke, 3 valve, TVS and delivers 6.9 kW (9.4 PS) at 7500 rpm. The scooter delivers a pick-up of 0 to 60 km/h in 6.5 seconds. The scooter has a top speed of 95 km/h as per the manufacturer. It is TVS’ first 125 cc scooter with connectivity - Bluetooth enabled. The TVS Apache (/əˈpætʃi/) is a brand of motorcycle made by TVS Motors since 2006. As of 2020, more than 4 million Apaches are on the road. Currently the company sells five variants of the TVS Apache. The differences between each variant being the engine displacement, the options on offer and performance characteristics. The abbreviation 'RTR' in the names of the motorcycles refer to 'Racing Throttle Response'. Donington Park is a motorsport circuit located near Castle Donington in Leicestershire, England. The circuit business is now owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, and the surrounding Donington Park Estate, still owned by the Wheatcroft family, is currently under lease by MotorSport Vision until 2038. BMW G310R
The BMW G 310 R is an entry-level standard motorcycle developed jointly by BMW and TVS Motor Company of India. It is BMW's first, modern, low-end, sub-500 cc, beginner motorcycle sold under the BMW Motorrad brand. It debuted in November 2015 with global sales beginning in 2018. The bike is powered by a four-valve liquid-cooled single cylinder engine shared with the TVS Apache RR 310 that BMW says produces power at 9,500 rpm and torque at 7,500 rpm. Sherco is a French motorcycle manufacturer, specialising in off-road motorbikes. Sherco are best known for their extremely popular trials bikes, although they also make enduro and supermoto bikes. The company was founded in 1998, and currently has two production facilities. A factory in Caldes de Montbui, Spain, some north of Barcelona is where the company's trials bikes are manufactured. Enduro and supermoto bikes are built at a factory in Nîmes, France. The name, Sherco, derives from the amalgamation of two words, Bultaco and Sherpa, that harks back to the company's origins. The Dakar Rally (or simply "The Dakar"; formerly known as the "Paris–Dakar Rally") is an annual rally raid organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation. Most events since the inception in 1978 were staged from Paris, France, to Dakar, Senegal, but due to security threats in Mauritania, which led to the cancellation of the 2008 rally, events from 2009 to 2019 were held in South America. TVS Apache RR 310
The TVS Apache RR 310 ( RR : Race Replica ) is a sport bike made by the TVS Motor Company in collaboration with BMW Motorrad that was launched in India on December 6, 2017 . It uses a single-cylinder, four-stroke, SI, liquid-cooled, DOHC reverse inclined engine. Although the engine of the Apache RR 310 is from BMW Motorrad's BMW G310 R platform, the motorcycle was entirely designed by TVS in India.
