TVOKids
TVOkids (short for TVOntariokids and stylized as tvokids) is the brand for most of the children's programming aired by TVOntario (TVO) in Canada. It was launched on April 1, 1994 and runs from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. The brand also operates two 24-hour online live streams, one which features regular TVOkids programming (which is simulcast from broadcast television during operating hours), and another dedicated to its original series ''PAW Patrol''. These channels are targeted at preschoolers and elementary school ages from 2 to 11. Hosts Since its inception in 1994, TVOKids has had numerous hosts. Patty Sullivan
Patricia "Patty" Sullivan (born March 17, 1968) is a Canadians, Canadian television presenter and actress. She is best known for hosting the TVOKids programming block on TVOntario from 1994 to 2003 and the Kids' CBC block on CBC Television from 2003 to 2016. Career Following her graduation from the radio and television arts program at Toronto Metropolitan University, Ryerson Polytechnical Institute (now Toronto Metropolitan University) in 1990, Sullivan first pursued a career in journalism with a job in news radio before taking a job at provincial public broadcaster TVOntario (TVO). After responding to an internal job posting for a children's television host, Sullivan began her career hosting the TVOKids Block programming, programming block on TVO in 1994. Joseph Motiki
Joseph Frederick Motiki (born July 31, 1972) is a Canadian television host, actor, and performer. He is best known for hosting the TVOntario children's block '' The TVOKids Crawlspace'' and the Food Network game show ''Ice Cold Cash''. Early life Joseph Motiki was born in Toronto, Ontario after his parents emigrated from their native South Africa to live in Canada. He grew up in the Borough of East York and attended high school at East York Collegiate Institute. He was an honours student who was active in athletics, and was president of the student government. Motiki enrolled at Ryerson University and graduated from their Radio and Television Arts program. PAW Patrol
''PAW Patrol'' is a Canadian computer-animated children's television series, children's television series created by Keith Chapman. It is produced by Spin Master, Spin Master Entertainment, with animation provided by Guru Studio. In Canada, the series is primarily broadcast on TVOKids, which first ran previews of the show in August 2013. The series premiered on Nickelodeon in the United States on August 12, 2013. The series focuses on a young boy named Ryder who leads a crew of search and rescue dogs that call themselves the PAW Patrol. They work together on missions to protect the shoreside community of Adventure Bay and surrounding areas. It is operated by the Ontario Educational Communications Authority (OECA), a Crown corporation owned by the Government of Ontario. Dalmar Abuzeid (born October 23, 1990) is a Canadian actor. He initially became known for portraying Danny Van Zandt in '' Degrassi: The Next Generation'' from 2004 until 2010. Gisèle's Big Backyard
''Gisèle's Big Backyard'' is a Canadian children's television series, which aired on TVOntario from 1998 to 2019. Hosted and produced by children's entertainer and educator Gisèle Corinthios as a continuation of her earlier series ''The Nook'', the series featured Corinthios, puppet supporting characters and guests entertaining and educating children according to the HighScope curriculum of early childhood education. The series aired as short segments inserted between other programs in the TVOKids programming block. It also produced interactive games and educational videos for the TVOntario website. Julie Zwillich ( ) is a Canadian and American television personality. She is the host of Food Network Canada's '' Summer's Best'' and CBC's ''Surprise! It's Edible Incredible!''
