TNM Super League
Super League of Malawi, also known as the TNM Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the top football division in Malawi. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Malawi Regional Football Leagues. Malawian mobile telecommunications company TNM sponsors the league with K65 million annually. History It was created in 1986 and was first sponsored by Gillet Nacet. It was composed of eight teams: five teams from Blantyre and Districts Football League (BDFL) and three teams from Lilongwe and Districts Football League (LDFL). The eight inaugural members of the Super League of Malawi were Bata Bullets, Limbe Leaf Wanderers, MDC United, Red Lions, ADMARC Tigers, Silver Strikers, Civo United and MITCO. FISD Challenge Cup
The FDH Bank Knockout Cup, also known as the Malawi FAM Cup is the national association football cup competition in Malawi, on a knock-out-basis. 383 teams participated in the 2009 edition of the Standard bank FAM Cup. It was the third time that Standard bank was the sponsor of the tournament. Red Lions FC (Malawi)
Red Lions Football Club is a Malawian football (soccer) club based in Zomba, Southern Region and currently playing in the TNM Super League, the top division of Malawian football. History The Red Lions FC is a military football club from Zomba, the old capital of Malawi. In the past the club was predominantly made of soldiers. Most of their players were spotted from smaller military teams back in the days in the name of Moyale Barracks FC, Kamuzu Barracks FC and the Kamuzu Military College now MAFCO. Karonga United FC
Karonga is a township in the Karonga District in Northern Region of Malawi. Located on the western shore of Lake Nyasa, it was established as a slaving centre sometime before 1877. As of 2018 estimates, Karonga has a population of 61,609. Civil Service United Football Club-Civo (CIVO United), which represents Civil Services, is a Malawian football (soccer) club based in Lilongwe area 9, the team currently plays in the TNM Super League, the top division of Malawi football. Silver Stadium
Silver Stadium was a baseball stadium located at 500 Norton Street in Rochester, New York. It was the home stadium for the Rochester Red Wings of the International League from 1929 to 1996, and for the New York Black Yankees of the Negro National League for their final season in 1948. The ballpark also briefly hosted professional football as it was the home field for the Rochester Braves ( second American Football League) in 1936 and the Rochester Tigers (second American Football League) in 1936 and 1937. The facility opened May 2, 1929, as Red Wing Stadium. It was renamed Silver Stadium on August 19, 1968, for Morrie Silver, then the president of Rochester Community Baseball, Inc. Lilongwe (, , ) is the capital and most populated city of the African country of Malawi. It has a population of 989,318 as of the 2018 Census, up from a population of 674,448 in 2008. Blantyre
Blantyre () is Malawi's centre of finance and commerce, and its second largest city, with an enumerated 800,264 inhabitants .
