TMF Dance
TMF Dance (formerly TMF Party) was a digital theme channel part of MTV Networks Benelux. The channel, along with the channels TMF Pure, TMF NL, and Nick Jr. Nick Jr. (known on-air as the Nick Jr. Channel) is an American pay television channel spun off from Nickelodeon's long-running programming block of the same name. It is run by Paramount Global through its networks division's Kids and Family Gr ..., launched on 1 May 2005. The purpose of the TMF Dance was to play a nonstop mix of dance music. On 31 December 2011 all TMF channels, including TMF Dance, were closed down due to MTV strengthening its own brand. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. Comedy Central Family (Netherlands)
Comedy Central Family was a television channel broadcasting comedy TV series. It launched in the Netherlands as a joint venture between Viacom International Media Networks and Endemol. It featured both foreign acquisitions and Dutch series from the Endemol libraries. Its launch was originally scheduled for 1 September 2008. It was, however, delayed and the channel eventually launched through cable operator Ziggo on 1 October 2008. On the channel, the Dutch, American, British and Flemish comedy series are aired. Comedy Central Family was available via cable company Ziggo, KPN, Delta and Caiway. Comedy Central Family closed in the Netherlands on 31 May 2018. Kindernet (as Nickelodeon Kindernet from 2011 to 2013) was a Dutch television network that aired classic and modern children's television series from the 1980s onward. Two iterations of the network have been broadcast; the original lasted from 1988 to 2003, while a Nickelodeon-branded revival launched 2011 and ended in 2013. History Original (1988–2003) Kindernet began as an idea by Dennis Livson, a Finnish producer and distributor of animated programmes in the 1970s. He believed that, at the time, children's programmes made for television were too violent for young viewers. He therefore started a network with so called "violence-free" cartoons. NickMusic (formerly known as Nick Hits) is a music video channel for children in the Netherlands and Belgium. The channel launched as Nick Hits on 2 August 2007 and became NickMusic on 1 February 2017. It plays mainly child-friendly pop music. As of 1 July 2020, it was also made available in Australia and New Zealand without any localisation or timeshifting, and replaced MTV Music 24 throughout Central Europe on 1 June 2021. The channel has a Czech license (RRTV) in order to ensure the continuation of legal broadcasting in the EU in accordance with the EU Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD) and the Single Market Law after the UK leaves the European Union. Nick Jr. (known on-air as the Nick Jr. Channel) is an American pay television channel spun off from Nickelodeon's long-running programming block of the same name. It is run by Paramount Global through its networks division's Kids and Family Group. The channel launched on September 28, 2009, and primarily targets preschoolers. Its lineup features a mix of originally-produced programming, along with series from the Nickelodeon weekday block; because of the two entities, Nick Jr. is known on-air as "the Nick Jr. Channel" (as of March 2018) to avoid confusion, especially at times of day where both services are carrying preschool programming. The channel replaced Noggin, which was relaunched as a streaming service in 2015 and acts as a separate sister brand. The Dutch version of Nickelodeon, broadcasting free-to-cable in the Netherlands and through satellite in Belgium, and launched on 14 July 2003. In addition to the general Nickelodeon programmes, original productions such as ''ZOOP'', ''Het Huis Anubis'', and ''SuperNick'' are also broadcast.
