TIZ (motorcycle)
TIZ (ТИЗ; russian: Таганрогский инструментальный завод No. 65 им. т. Сталина, , Taganrogskiy Instrumentalniy Zavod No. 65 named after Stalin) was a motorcycle manufacturer. Following the German Invasion of the Soviet Union, the plant was transferred east to the town of Tyumen in the Ural region and became known as TMZ (ТМЗ; russian: Тюменский мотоциклетный завод, Tyumenskiy Mototsikletniy Zavod). History In 1936 the plant commenced building the TIZ-AM-600 (Army Motorcycle), a Soviet copy of the BSA 1931 Sloper 600. With the German Invasion of the Soviet Union, the plant was transferred east to the town of Tyumen in the Ural region. The new plant was known as TMZ (ТМЗ; russian: Тюменский мотоциклетный завод, Tyumenskiy Mototsikletniy Zavod). It was written and directed by Rich Christiano and stars Jonathan Aube, Josh Adamson, Michael Blain-Rozgay, Jenna Bailey, Lance Zitron, and the popular Christian pop rock musician Rebecca St. James. The film deals with UFOs and how they could play into the end times. Production and release In May 2005, Rich Christiano wrote, co-produced, and directed the film, his second feature-length movie. BSA Sloper
The BSA S-Series of motorcycles, most commonly known as the BSA Sloper, were a series of motorcycles produced by the Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA) from 1927 to 1935. Launched in 1927, the 493cc overhead valve engine was slanted, and the motorcycle featured a saddle tank that enabled a low seating position, improving the centre of gravity and handling. Designated as the new S-series, whether this stood for sloper, speed or silence is unknown, but sloper became the term used by motorcyclists and hence adopted by BSA for marketing. The Sloper range remained much the same until its demise in 1935. Each model was designated with the two letters of the year produced, hence the S31 was produced in 1931.
