TDC Northern Stars
Newcastle TDC Northern Stars were a semi-professional ice hockey team, previously known as the Newcastle ENL Vipers. The Vipers were founded in 2005 and played out of Metro Radio Arena which had a capacity of 5,500. They eventually changed names from the Vipers to the Northern Stars. In 2010 the team moved to Whitley Bay Arena which had a capacity of 3,200. The team was sponsored by TDC Waste Management and competed in the English National Hockey League North 1 Division and the NIHL. The National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) is a set of professional ice hockey leagues administered by the English Ice Hockey Association. It is currently the second tier of British ice hockey, below the Elite Ice Hockey League. Formerly called the English National Ice Hockey League (ENIHL), it was renamed in 2012 to recognise the inclusion of several teams from Scotland and Wales. The English Ice Hockey Association announced a new structure of the men's senior league for the 2019/20 season, at a meeting of NIHL clubs in Warwickshire. Stephen Foster
Stephen Collins Foster (July 4, 1826January 13, 1864), known also as "the father of American music", was an American composer known primarily for his parlour music, parlour and Minstrel show, minstrel music during the Romantic music, Romantic period. He wrote more than 200 songs, including "Oh! Susanna", "Hard Times Come Again No More", "Camptown Races", Old Folks at Home, "Old Folks at Home" ("Swanee River"), "My Old Kentucky Home", "Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair", "Old Black Joe", and "Beautiful Dreamer", and many of his compositions remain popular today. Billingham Stars
The Billingham Stars are an ice hockey team from the town of Billingham in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham. They are currently members of the National Ice Hockey League playing in its Moralee Conference. The Stars play their home games at the Billingham Forum. The Stars are currently coached by ex-Durham Wasps players Robert Wilkinson and Stephen Foster.
