TAT (band)
TAT is an English rock/punk band hailing from London. History Early years (2003–2005) The band, originally a quartet, was founded in 2003 by Tatiana DeMaria. In 2004 they released their debut single, ' Peace Sex & Tea' which charted in the UK's top 50, followed by their ' Pessimist' EP, a live recording of part of their set from Reading Festival 2004, which entered the BBC's Official Rock Chart at number 18. Both Single/EP were released independently through EX Records in conjunction with the Extreme Sports Channel. As the band started making ripples, they earned a support slot with The Offspring and HorrorPops in Paris, where they were exposed to 13,000 people. Throughout 2005, TAT experienced several lineup changes which eventually saw the band become a trio, with the inclusion of bassist Nick Kent and drummer Jake Reed. Warped Tour
The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the tour’s main sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Vans toured Australia in 1998-2002 and again in 2013. Although Vans continued as main sponsor and lent its name to the festival, other sponsors also participated, with stages or other aspects of the festival being named after them on occasion. Warped Tour was conceived by Kevin Lyman as an electric alternative rock festival, but later began focusing on punk rock music. Me First And The Gimme Gimmes
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes (often shortened to just Me First or the Gimmes) are a punk rock supergroup and cover band that formed in San Francisco in 1995. The band's lineup consists of Spike Slawson, Fat Mike, Joey Cape, and Dave Raun. Chris Shiflett is a former member. The Gimmes work exclusively as a cover band. They specialize in rapid-fire punk interpretations of a wide range of songs, often with a humorous edge. The band is named after a children's book of the same name by Gerald G. Jampolsky and Diane V. Cirincione. History The band's first release came with 1995's ''Denver'', a 7" single released on band member Fat Mike's record label Fat Wreck Chords, featuring two John Denver covers. ''Fame, Fortune and Fornication'' is a cover album by ska punk band Reel Big Fish. Release In September 2008, they went on a Canadian tour with Less Than Jake, the Flatliners, and the Real Deal. On October 16, 2008, the band announced that they would release their next album in January 2009. Four days later, the band announced that their next album would be titled ''Fame, Fortune and Fornication'' and consist of covers. On November 19, 2008, the album's artwork was posted online. From the beginning of January to mid-March 2009, the band went on tour with Streetlight Manifesto, Tip the Van, and One Pin Short. The album was released on January 20, 2009 through Rock Ridge Music. The album's cover features Suburban Legends' guitarist Brian Klemm in hair metal attire, as he appears on the cover of Suburban Legends' 2008 album, ''Let's Be Friends and Slay the Dragon Together''. Reel Big Fish
Reel Big Fish is an American ska punk band from Orange County, California. The band gained mainstream recognition in the mid-to-late 1990s during the third wave of ska with the release of the gold-certified album ''Turn the Radio Off''. Soon after, the band lost mainstream recognition but gained an underground cult following. As of 2006, the band was no longer signed to a major record label and has since been independent. After numerous line-up changes, frontman Aaron Barrett is the last remaining founding member still performing in the band. History 1991–2001: Early success The band formed in 1991 while the members were in high school. The group started as a cover band until they released a demo in 1992, titled ''In The Good Old Days''.
