T4-Gutachter
The ''T4-Gutachter'' (in English, 'Action T4 experts') were medical experts who were employed by the ''Zentraldienststelle-T4'' to organize and carry out the Action T4 euthanasia program in Nazi Germany. Based on reporting forms with information about the mentally ill and disabled, they decided who would be killed in "euthanasia" centers. Action T4
(German, ) was a campaign of mass murder by involuntary euthanasia in Nazi Germany. The term was first used in post-war trials against doctors who had been involved in the killings. The name T4 is an abbreviation of 4, a street address of the Chancellery department set up in early 1940, in the Berlin borough of Tiergarten, which recruited and paid personnel associated with Aktion T4. Certain German physicians were authorised to select patients "deemed incurably sick, after most critical medical examination" and then administer to them a "mercy death" (). In October 1939, Adolf Hitler signed a "euthanasia note", backdated to 1 September 1939, which authorised his physician Karl Brandt and ''Reichsleiter'' Philipp Bouhler to begin the killing. Werner Villinger
Werner Villinger (9 October 1887 in Besigheim – 8 August 1961 near Innsbruck) was a Nazi German psychiatrist, neurologist, eugenicist and the leading physician at the Bethel Institution ("Anstalt Bethel"). Villinger's specialities included juvenile delinquency, child guidance and group therapy. He was a Professor of Psychiatry at the Philipps University of Marburg and a leading member of the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH). Action T4 Under the Germany's Nazi regime of the 1930s and '40s, Villinger acted as an expert in the government's T-4 Euthanasia Program. On Social Welfare Education Day 1934, Villinger gave a speech on sterilization and described the reaction, fears and resistance of the boys involved. Friedrich Mauz
Friedrich Robert Mauz (1 May 1900 Esslingen – 7 July 1979 Münster) was a German psychiatrist who was involved with the Nazi T-4 Euthanasia Program. From 1939 until 1945, Mauz was the Professor of Psychiatry at Albertina University in Königsberg. In 1953, he became the Professor of Psychiatry at Münster. He was the president (1957-1958) of the German Society for Psychiatrists and Neurologists. Mauz was father of three children, one son and two daughters.
