Two Of A Kind (1951 Film)
''Two of a Kind'' is a 1951 American crime film directed by Henry Levin and starring Edmond O'Brien, Lizabeth Scott and Terry Moore.. Plot Mike Farrell (O'Brien) is induced by con artists Brandy Kirby (Scott) and attorney Vincent Mailer (Knox) to purloin a rich couple's ten million dollar estate by having Farrell pose as their long-lost son. When the old man refuses to change his will, Mailer decides to kill the couple, and Kirby plays along. Farrell refuses to assist and Mailer plans to kill him too. After a botched attempt, with Kirby's help, Farrell exposes the scam to the old man, dooming Mailer's plan, and allowing Kirby and Farrell to unite, as "Two of a Kind". Henry Levin (film Director)
Henry Levin (5 June 1909 – 1 May 1980) began as a stage actor and director but was most notable as an American film director of over fifty feature films. His best known credits were ''Jolson Sings Again'' (1949), ''Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959 film), Journey to the Center of the Earth'' (1959) and ''Where the Boys Are'' (1960). Biography Acting Levin began as an actor. He was on Broadway in ''Somewhere in France'' (1941) and appeared in summer stock in ''Cuckoos on the Hearth'' (1941). He worked for Brock Pemberton stage productions. Columbia Pictures Dialogue Director In May 1943 Levin signed a contract to work at Columbia Pictures. He was one of three stage director recruited by the studio – the others were William Castle and Leslie Urbach. Levin's job was to work with the younger Columbia actors. Film noir (; ) is a cinematic term used primarily to describe stylish Hollywood crime dramas, particularly those that emphasize cynical attitudes and motivations. The 1940s and 1950s are generally regarded as the "classic period" of American ''film noir''. Virginia Brissac (June 11, 1883 – July 26, 1979) was a popular American stage actress who headlined theatre companies from Vancouver to San Diego during the heyday of West Coast Stock in the early 1900s. William Dozier
William McElroy Dozier (; February 13, 1908 – April 23, 1991) was an American film and television producer, writer and actor. He is best known for two television series, ''Batman'' and ''The Green Hornet''. Early life Dozier was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated from Creighton University in 1929, where he studied law. Career Dozier began his career as a television writer and then moved into production. With his second wife Joan Fontaine, he co-founded Rampart Productions, responsible for '' Letter from an Unknown Woman'' (1948). He produced the film noir starring Joan Crawford, ''Harriet Craig'' in 1950.
