Morasha
Morasha ( he, מורשה, ''Heritage''), later known as Morasha-Poalei Agudat Yisrael (), was a small, short-lived religious political party in Israel during the 1980s. History The Morasha party was formed in the run-up to the 1984 elections by former National Religious Party MK Haim Drukman and Avraham Verdiger, a member of Poalei Agudat Yisrael (which had lost its sole Knesset seat in the 1981 elections). Drukman had attempted to form a Knesset faction by the name of ''Zionist Religious Camp'' during the 10th Knesset, but had been refused permission to do so by the House Committee. Other party members included Yitzhak Levy and Hanan Porat. The party won two seats, taken by Drukman and Verdiger. Yitzhak Rabin
Yitzhak Rabin (; he, יִצְחָק רַבִּין, ; 1 March 1922 – 4 November 1995) was an Israeli politician, statesman and general. He was the fifth Prime Minister of Israel, serving two terms in office, 1974–77, and from 1992 until his assassination in 1995. Rabin was born in Jerusalem to Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe and was raised in a Labor Zionist household. He learned agriculture in school and excelled as a student. He led a 27-year career as a soldier and ultimately attained the rank of Rav Aluf. As a teenager he joined the Palmach, the commando force of the Yishuv. Gad Yaacobi ( he, גד יעקבי, 18 January 1935 – 27 August 2007) was an Israeli Minister, Alignment Knesset member, and Israel Ambassador to the United Nations. Biography Yaacobi was born in Kfar Vitkin during Mandate era, where he completed his high-school studies. His academic studies were economics and political science at the Tel Aviv University. From 1960 to 1961 he served as an assistant to the Agriculture Minister of Israel, and from 1961 to 1966 as head of the Center for Planning and Economic Development in the Agriculture Ministry, appointed by Moshe Dayan. In 1965 Yaacobi was among the founders of the Rafi party. When Rafi merged into the Labor Party (which formed part of the alliance known as the Alignment), he was appointed to the party's bureau. Amnon Rubinstein ( he, אמנון רובינשטיין, born 5 September 1931) is an Israeli legal scholar, politician, and columnist. A member of the Knesset between 1977 and 2002, he served in several ministerial positions. Aryeh Nehemkin ( he, אריה נחמקין; 2 November 1925 – 24 November 2021) was an Israeli politician. He served as a member of the Knesset for the Alignment from 1981 until 1988, and as Minister of Agriculture between 1984 and 1988. Biography Aryeh Nehemkin was born in Nahalal during the Mandate Era. He was a Haganah member between 1943 and 1948. During the 1948 Arab-Israeli War he served in the IDF, reaching the rank of lieutenant colonel. Yitzhak Rachamim Navon ( he, יצחק נבון; 9 April 1921 – 6 November 2015) was an Israeli politician, diplomat, playwright, and author. He served as the fifth President of Israel between 1978 and 1983 as a member of the centre-left Alignment party. He was the first Israeli president born in Jerusalem and the first Sephardi Jew to serve in that office. David Levy ( he, דוד לוי, born 21 December 1937) is an Israeli politician who served as a member of the Knesset between 1969 and 2006, as well as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Immigrant Absorption, Minister of Housing and Construction and as a Minister without Portfolio.
