Tutti Frutti (Brazilian Band)
Tutti Frutti is a Brazilian rock band formed in the early 1970s by musicians living in the Pompeia neighbourhood, in São Paulo. Between 1973 and 1978, with leading guitarist Luís Sérgio Carlini, the band accompanied Rita Lee in her shows after she had left Os Mutantes. This proved to be a successful association, making Tutti Frutti one of the most prominent Brazilian rock groups in the 1970s. They recorded with Rita Lee several national hits as "Agora só Falta Você", "Esse Tal de Roque Enrow", "Ovelha Negra", "Corista de Rock", "Miss Brasil 2000" and "Jardins da Babilônia". After the association with her came to an end in 1978, the band continued to perform with lead singer Simbas until they finally broke up in 1981. Carlini, who owns the ''Tutti Frutti'' brand name, has attempted various other formations since then, achieving only limited success. Rádio Táxi
Rádio Táxi is a pop rock band from São Paulo, Brazil, who had a string of hit singles in the early/mid 80s. The band was formed in 1981 by guitarist Wander Taffo, drummer Gel Fernandes, bassist Lee Marcucci and singer/keyboardist Willie de Oliveira, all ex-members of Rita Lee's backing band, Tutti Frutti. Their self-titled first album, released in 1982 featured the hits "''Coisas de Casal''" (written by Rita Lee with her husband Roberto de Carvalho as a gift to the band), "''Dentro do Coração (Põe Devagar)''" and "''Garota Dourada''". The band's popularity skyrocketed with the release of their second album, ''"Rádio Táxi 2"'', and the first single out of the album, ''"Eva"'', a Portuguese version of a song by Italian singer Umberto Tozzi. Lúcia Turnbull
Lúcia Maria Turnbull, known as Lucinha Turnbull (born 22 April 1953), is a Brazilian singer, composer and guitarist, considered the first woman electric guitarist in Brazil. Biography Born in São Paulo, Turnbull is daughter of a Scottish father and a Brazilian mother. She got her first guitar when she was 13. When she was 16 years old she moved to London, where she joined the folk group The Solid British Hat Band. Returning to Brazil in 1972, she did the opening show for Os Mutantes at the Teatro Oficina in São Paulo. After that, she formed the short-lived duo As Cilibrinas do Éden with Rita Lee and participated of the Festival Phono 73.
