Turnpike Lane Bus Station
Turnpike Lane is a London Underground station at Turnpike Lane in the London Borough of Haringey in north London, England. The station is on the northeastern part of Piccadilly line between Manor House and Wood Green. The station was opened on 19 September 1932 as part of the Cockfosters extension. It is in Travelcard Zone 3. History It was opened on 19 September 1932. It was the first Underground station in the Municipal Borough of Tottenham and was located at the meeting point of the boroughs of Tottenham, Hornsey and Wood Green, all now part of the London Borough of Haringey. Like all stations on the Cockfosters extension, Turnpike Lane set new aesthetic standards not previously seen on the Underground. Southgate Tube Station
Southgate is a London Underground Piccadilly line station in Southgate. It is located between Arnos Grove and Oakwood stations and is in Travelcard Zone 4. History Southgate station opened on 13 March 1933 with Oakwood on the second phase of the northern extension of the Piccadilly line from Finsbury Park to Cockfosters. Prior to the station's opening, alternative names were suggested including ''"Chase Side"'' and ''"Southgate Central"''. London Buses route 29 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Wood Green and Trafalgar Square, it is operated by Arriva London. History Today's route 29 traces its history back to a daily route between Victoria and Wood Green via Whitehall, Charing Cross Road, Camden Town, Seven Sisters Road and Green Lanes, Harringay, which began operation on 20 November 1911. Metroline
Metroline is a bus company operating services in Greater London and south Hertfordshire. It is a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro Corporation and operates services under contract to Transport for London. As at March 2021, the fleet consisted of 1,532 buses, making it the third largest London Buses operator.
