''Turnaround'' is the fourth studio album by Irish boy band Westlife, released on 24 November 2003 by BMG. The first single released was the upbeat track, "Hey Whatever". The next single was a cover of the Barry Manilow hit, "Mandy". The band's version earned them their 12th UK number one and an Irish record of the year award. " Obvious", an original song, was the third and final single released from the album. ''Turnaround'' was also the last album to be recorded with their full original lineup with member Brian McFadden, who left the band in March the following year. Westlife
Westlife is an Irish pop vocal group formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1998. The group currently consists of members Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne. Brian McFadden was a member, until he left in 2004. The group temporarily disbanded in 2012 after 14 years of success and later reunited in 2018. "Hey Whatever" is a song by Irish boy band Westlife. It was released on 15 September 2003 as the lead single from their fourth studio album, ''Turnaround (Westlife album), Turnaround'' (2003). The song is a re-written version of "Rainbow Zephyr", a popular song by Irish rock band Relish (band), Relish. Released on 15 September 2003, the song peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart. In ''Westlife - Our Story'', the band said they pushed for "Hey Whatever" to be released as the lead single despite Simon Cowell telling them they did not have a hit.
