Turn The Page (Chris Ardoin Album)
''Turn the Page'' is an album by the American zydeco musician Chris Ardoin, released in 1998. His band, Double Clutchin'—which included his brother, Sean—is also credited. Ardoin was still a teenager when the album was recorded. Production The album was produced by Scott Billington. "Barres De La Prison" is a cover of the Canray Fontenot composition. Critical reception ''The Village Voice'' called the album "excellent," writing that "Fever for Your Flavor" is "powered by psychedelic space electronics and grown-up red-clay soul vocals that welcome zydeco to the urban jungle, blackboard jungle, and rubyfruit jungle simultaneously." ''The Boston Globe'' considered Ardoin "perhaps the nimblest accordionist now playing zydeco," and wrote that he "keeps his meanderings melodic, his solos (on both diatonic and triple-row accordions) intricate and playful." The ''Orlando Sentinel'' noted that the band "strikes out for more experimental territory on the penultimate cut, 'Fever for You ...

Turn The Page (Waylon Jennings Album)
''Turn the Page'' is a studio album by American country music artist Waylon Jennings, released on RCA Records in 1985. Background Jennings recorded the album at a time when he was completely drug-free; this had not occurred in his career for about twenty years. In April 1984, Jennings rented a house in Arizona for himself, his wife Jessi Colter, and young son Shooter, and quit cocaine cold turkey, although he did not intend to quit for good. Jennings was inspired to remain drug free mainly because of his son. In the audio version of his autobiography '' Waylon'', Jennings recalled that quitting drugs had an immediate effect on his music: "I hit better notes now that I wasn't plagued with laryngitis. I played on the beat instead of ahead of it. Probably only I noticed that instead of pushing myself, I was being pulled along by my own legend and the skills I'd learned from a lifetime performing." Recording and composition ''Turn the Page'' features a far more committed effort f ...

Inspiration "Turn the Page" is about the emotional and social ups and downs of a rock musician's life on the road. Seger wrote it in 1972 while touring with Teegarden & Van Winkle. Drummer David Teegarden (of Teegarden & Van Winkle and later the Silver Bullet Band) recalls: We had been playing somewhere in the Midwest, or the northern reaches, on our way to North or South Dakota. uitaristMike Bruce was with us. We'd been traveling all night from the Detroit area to make this gig, driving in this blinding snowstorm. It was probably 3 in the morning. Mike decided it was time to get gas. He was slowing do ...
