Comeback Kid (band)
Comeback Kid is a Canadian hardcore punk band formed in March 2001 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band currently consists of vocalist Andrew Neufeld, guitarists Jeremy Hiebert and Stu Ross, bassist Chase Brenneman and drummer Loren Legare. Since its formation, the band have released seven studio albums and seventeen music videos. Their seventh studio album, ''Heavy Steps'', was released in January 2022. History The band was formed in March 2001, by Andrew Neufeld and Jeremy Hiebert who were both members of the band Figure Four, joined by their friends Scott Wade and Kyle Profeta, originally intended only to be a side project. The band's name, originally "The Comeback Kid", comes from a headline in a newspaper about hockey player Mario Lemieux coming back to the NHL. The band released a six-song demo in January 2002 and in August 2002 was signed to Facedown Records. Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. Wake The Dead
''Wake the Dead'' is the second studio album by Canadian hardcore punk band Comeback Kid (band), Comeback Kid. The album was released on February 22, 2005. Bill Stevenson (musician), Bill Stevenson recorded it over 13 days at the Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado, Ft. Collins, Colorado. The album's main hit, the title track "Wake The Dead", was featured on the soundtrack of the video game ''Burnout Revenge'', and ''Burnout Legends''. The album peaked at number 16 on Top Heatseekers and number 27 on Top Independent Albums. It was the final album with Scott Wade on vocals, with Andrew Neufeld taking over on the later releases.
