Yavuz Can (born 23 February 1987) is a Turkish Sprint (running), sprinter specialising in the 400 metres, 400 Metres. Career He won the silver medal in the 4 × 400 metres relay, 4 × 400 Metres Relay at the 2013 Mediterranean Games. In addition, he competed at two outdoor and two indoor European Championships, as well as the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships, 2012 World Indoor Championships in his native land, Turkey. His personal bests in the 400 Metres are 45.64 seconds outdoors (Zeulenroda, 2016) and 46.87 seconds indoors (Istanbul, 2015), both performances were labelled as Turkish national record in these disciplines. 1500 Metres
The 1500 metres or 1500-metre run is the foremost middle distance track event in athletics. The distance has been contested at the Summer Olympics since 1896 and the World Championships in Athletics since 1983. It is equivalent to 1.5 kilometers or approximately miles. The event is closely associated with its slightly longer variant, the mile run, from which it derives its nickname "the metric mile". The demands of the race are similar to that of the 800 metre run, but with a slightly higher emphasis on aerobic endurance and a slightly lower sprint speed requirement. The 1500-metre run is predominantly aerobic, but anaerobic conditioning is also required. Each lap run during the men's world-record race of 3:26.00, run by Hicham El Guerrouj of Morocco in 1998, averaged just under 55 seconds per lap. The 1000 metres, 1 kilometer run, or 1K run is an uncommon middle-distance running event in track and field competitions. The Nevin Yanıt Athletics Complex () also known as Nevin Yanıt Athletics Facility () is a sports venue for athletics (sport), athletics competitions in track and field located in Mersin, Turkey. 800 Metres
The 800 metres, or 800 meters (American and British English spelling differences#-re.2C -er, US spelling), is a common track running event. It is the shortest commonly run middle-distance running event. The 800 metres is run over two laps of an outdoor (400-metre) track and has been an Olympic event since the first modern games in 1896. During the winter track season the event is usually run by completing four laps of an indoor 200-metre track. The event was derived from the imperial measurement of a half mile (880 yards), a traditional British racing distance. 800 m is 4.67 m less than a half mile. The event combines aerobic system, aerobic endurance with anaerobic system, anaerobic conditioning and sprint speed, so the 800m athlete has to combine training for both.
