Turkish Women's Second Football League
The Turkish Women's Second Football League ( tr, Kadınlar 2. Futbol Ligi) is the third tier league competition for women's association football in Turkey. Format Teams promoted to Women's First League Format As of 2021-22 Season, 26 teams compete for promoting to 1st League. They were divided into four groups according to their geographical location. In each group, teams play against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format. The group winners and runners-up promote to 1st League,third teams in groups advance to the promotion play-offs. Two winner teams of the promotion play-offs qualify for the 1st League. 2021–22 season The 2021-22 Turkish Women's Second Football League consisted of 26 teams. The Turkish Women's First Football League ( tr, Kadınlar 1. Futbol Ligi) is the second-tier league competition for women's association football in Turkey. Format Teams promoted to Women's Super League Format As of 2022-23 Season, 13 teams (3 teams relegated from Super League and 10 teams promoted from Second League in the end of 2021–22 season) compete for promoting to Super League. 2022–23 season The 2022-23 Turkish Women's First Football League consists of 13 teams. İdmanocağı or İdman Ocağı is a Turkish sports club based in Trabzon, Turkey. The club had a strong rivalry with another club, İdmangücü, which matched the The Intercontinental Derby, Istanbul derby between Fenerbahçe S.K., Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray S.K., Galatasaray. İdmanocağı were compared to Galatasaray in that period, partly because of this rivalry and partly because of their red and yellow colours. The association football, football department discontinued in 1967 when they were forced by the Turkish Football Federation to merge with İdmangücü and two other local clubs, Karadenizgücü and Martıspor to form Trabzonspor. Gazikentspor Women's Football Club ( tr, Gazikentspor Bayan Futbol Takımı) is a women's association football, women's football club based in Gaziantep, Turkey. Founded in 2006, the club is located in the Gazikent neighborhood of Şehitkamil district. The team manager is Cesim Karalar. The club's colors are red, green and white. The team play their home matches in the Gazikent Stadium within the Gazikent Sports Complex. After defeating the Ankara-based Fomget Gençlik Spor in the second leg of the Turkish Women's Second Football League, Women's Second League play-off match, the team was promoted to play in the 2014–15 season of Turkish Women's First Football League.
