Turkish Women's First Football League
The Turkish Women's First Football League () is the second-tier league competition for women's association football in Turkey. It was the first tier female football competition until the establishment of the Turkish Women's Football Super League in 2022. Format In an effort to increase quality of the league, in the 2009–10 season two teams were relegated and four teams were promoted to the first league. Thus, the 2010–11 season consisted of twelve teams. Fashion One TV became the official media sponsor of the league for the 2010–11 season. At this time the league gained little attention in Turkey. After playing two groups with six teams and then having a championship and relegation group, the 2012–13 season was played as a double-round robin with ten teams again. The winner after 18 games was the champion and qualifies for the UEFA Women's Champions League, the bottom two teams get relegated. 1994 Turkish Women's Football League
The 1994 season of the Turkish Women's Football League is the first season of Turkey's premier women's association football, women's football league. In its meeting on 22 December 1993, the Turkish Football Federation decided to officially establish a women's football league in Turkey. The league consisted of 16 totally amateur clubs competing in four groups. The league started with group matches on 2 April 1994, and ended on 21 May 1994 with the final match played. Dinarsuspor became the first league champion after defeating Acarlarspor with 3–1 in the final. The team completed the 2016–17 season of Turkish Women's Second Football League as champion, and were promoted to the Turkish Women's First Football League. 2017–18 Turkish Women's First Football League
The 2017–18 season of the Turkish Women's First Football League is the 22nd season of Turkey's premier women's football league. The league season started with the first week matches on 12 November 2017. The regular season concluded with the 18th week matches on 8 April. 2018. Ten teams competed with two promoted teams, Fatih Vatan Spor of Istanbul and Amed Sportif Faaliyetler from Diyarbakır, which replaced the relegated teams Adana İdmanyurduspor and Amasya Eğitim Spor. Four teams from Istanbul took part in the 2017–18 season. Ataşehir Belediyespor became the league champion two matches before the league's end, regaining the title from Konak Belediyespor, who held the title five seasons in a row. History The women's team was founded as Antalya Yeni Kapıspor in 2006, and started to play in the Women's League. From 2007 until 2012, the team was part of Antalyaspor while they played in the 2011–12 season under the name Medical Park Antalyaspor in line with their sponsor. After three seasons in Women's First League, the team was relegated to the Women's Second League for the 2012–13 season. As a result, Antalyaspor's club management decided to close the women's football branch. It is known for its women's association football, women's football team that won the Turkish League championship in 2011, the fourth year of its existence.
