Turkish Men's Volleyball Cup
The Turkish Men's Volleyball Cup ( tr, Kupa Voley Erkekler) is a national cup competition for professional men's volleyball teams in Turkey, organised by the Turkish Volleyball Federation since the 1988–89 season. Between 2003 and 2007, the tournament was not held for four consecutive seasons. Most successful team of the competition are Halkbank with seven titles. Current champions are Arkas, who won their 3rd title by defeating rivals Galatasaray 3–2 in the 2022 final. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The receiving team must not let the ball be grounded within their court. The team may touch the ball up to three times to return the ball to the other side of the court, but individual players may not touch the ball twice consecutively. ... The Turkish Women's Volleyball Super Cup ( tr, Türkiye Voleybol Kadınlar Şampiyonlar Kupası), is the Super Cup competition for professional women's volleyball in Turkey, organized by the Turkish Volleyball Federation since 2009. It is contested between the winners of the Turkish Volleyball League and the Turkish Cup. The most successful teams of the competition so far are Fenerbahçe and Vakıfbank with three wins each. The Turkish Women's Volleyball League ( tr, Türkiye Kadınlar Voleybol 1. Ligi) officially called the Sultans League (Turkish: Sultanlar Ligi), is the highest professional women's volleyball league in Turkey. It is run by the Turkish Volleyball Federation and began with the 1984–85 season. 14 clubs are currently participating in the league. It is often regarded as the best professional women's volleyball league in the world. Its clubs have obtained significant successes in European and other international competitions. Eczacıbaşı are the most successful club, having won 16 championships so far. The Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) (in Turkish: ''Türkiye Voleybol Federasyonu'') is the governing body of volleyball and beach volleyball in Turkey. Formed in 1958, it is based in Ankara.
