Tugu Keris
Tugu Keris (Kris Monument) is a huge monument in the shape of a kris in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. Its construction was ordered by the Sultan of Selangor, Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of his reign on 30 September 1985. The monument is located at Klang Royal Gardens, opposite the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes Klang. Both the church and the monument is featured in the landmarks of Selangor list. Relocation It is originally located along the Federal Highway (Federal route ) near Taman Kris and Sungai Rasau toll plaza. In September 2014, the monument was relocated to its present site in Klang Royal Gardens off Jalan Tengku Kelana. The relocation was done since the original monument was blocked by a flyover being built just after the Sungai Rasau toll plaza. The monument can be easily seen from the Simpang Lima roundabout. Klang or Kelang, officially Royal City of Klang ( ms, Bandar Diraja Klang), is a royal city and former capital of the state of Selangor, Malaysia. It is located within the Klang District. It was the civil capital of Selangor in an earlier era prior to the emergence of Kuala Lumpur and the current capital, Shah Alam. Port Klang, which is located in the Klang District, is the 12th busiest transshipment port and the 12th busiest container port in the world. Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah Al-Haj ( Jawi: ; 8 March 1926 – 21 November 2001) was the 11th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and eighth Sultan of Selangor. Federal Highway ( ms, Lebuhraya Persekutuan, zh, 联邦大道, abbreviation: FH2) is a Malaysian controlled-access highway connecting the capital city of Kuala Lumpur, and Klang, Selangor. Kota Darul Ehsan
Kota Darul Ehsan is a row of arches symbolizing the border on Malaysian Federal Highway between the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Malaysian state of Selangor. Erected on Federal Route , it is the biggest arch in Malaysia. History As a commemoration of the cession of Kuala Lumpur to the federal government to form a Federal Territory by Selangor, the building of the arch was commissioned by the late Sultan of Selangor, Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah on 1 February 1974. This arch symbolises the sacrifice of the Selangor state to the federal government. This arch was completed on 1981 and was officially opened by the late Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz of Selangor on 3 January 1982.
