Tréma (record Label)
Tréma was a record and video label founded in 1969 by Jacques Revaux and Régis Talar. The word ''tréma'' was an acronym for ''Talar Revaux Éditions Musicales Associées''. Tréma was initially created to publish the recordings of Michel Sardou, whose parents used to buy meat from the parents of Jacques Revaux, but various other artists also joined it, such as Animo, Richard Anthony, Charles Aznavour, Pierre Billon, Carlos, Dani, Jean-Jacques Debout, Michel Delpech, Dionysos, Frédéric François, Michel Fugain, Pierre Groscolas, Michel Kricorian, Catherine Lara, Enrico Macias, Didier Marouani, K-Reen, Matmatah, Alexandra Roos, Patrick Topaloff, Serge Reggiani, and Hervé Vilard. Jacques Revaux
Jacques Abel Jules Revaud (; born 11 July 1940), known as Jacques Revaux (), is a French songwriter, most famous for his 1968 writing collaboration with singer Claude François on the song "Comme d'habitude", whose text was reworked by Canadian singer-songwriter Paul Anka into the English language as "My Way", which was in turn a hit first recorded by Frank Sinatra. Hervé Vilard (born René Villard; 24 July 1946 in Paris, France) is a French pop–singer, who first became famous in the 1960s. His first single "Capri c'est fini" became an international hit in 1965 and rendered him instantaneously famous. The song sold 3.3 million copies. Serge Reggiani (2 May 1922 – 23 July 2004) was an Italian-French actor and singer. He was born in Reggio Emilia, Italy and moved to France with his parents at the age of eight. Patrick Topaloff (30 December 1944 – 7 March 2010) was a French comedian, singer, and actor. Matmatah is a French Band (rock and pop), rock band, established in 1995 in Brest, Brittany, Brest, Brittany (administrative region), Brittany. History The band was established in 1995 when Tristan Nihouarn, who at the time was a student pursuing study of Advanced Mathematics in Brest (western Brittany, France), met Cédric Floc'h who was studying electric engineering in the same city, where they both come from. Both were guitarists and together formed a ''chanson'' and guitar duo called the Tricards Twins, playing in a number of bars and pubs in Brittany. They developed a repertoire for playing songs from the sixties and seventies, with the Beatles, Neil Young and Simon and Garfunkel figuring prominently among their influences. Biography Didier started his career as a pop singer and made his first single, "Je suis ton chevalier" with Etienne Roda-Gil as a lyricist in 1975. Gaston Ghrenassia (born 11 December 1938), known by his stage name Enrico Macias, is an Algerian-French singer, songwriter and musician of Algerian Jewish descent. Early years Gaston Ghrenassia was born to a Sephardic Algerian Jewish family in Constantine, Algeria. His father, Sylvain Ghrenassia (1914–2004), was a violinist in an orchestra that played primarily ''malouf'', Andalusian classical music. Gaston played the guitar from childhood, and started playing with the Cheikh Raymond Leyris Orchestra at age 15. He pursued a school teacher career, but continued playing the guitar.
