Abram Trigg
Abram Trigg (1750 – unknown) was an American farmer and politician from Bedford County, Virginia. He fought with the Virginia militia in the Revolutionary War and represented Virginia in the U.S. Congress from 1797 until 1809. He was a slaveholder. Family life Abram was born on his father's farm near New London in Lunenburg County, Virginia. He was one of the eight children of William Trigg (1716–1773) and Mary (Johns) Trigg (1720–1773). His father, William served as a judge in Bedford County (which was formed from part of Lunenburg County in 1754) for many years. His brother, John, would serve with him in congress. In 1779 Abram married Susannah Ingles, daughter of William Ingles and Mary Draper Ingles, who escaped from Indian captivity and walked 800 miles to return to her home in 1755. Noel Trigg
Noel Francis Trigg (28 November 1933 - 29 October 2020) was a Welsh light heavyweight boxer. Based in Newport, Trigg's professional career spanned from 1952 to 1959 and he held the Welsh light heavyweight title from 1956 to 1958. In his later Trigg became involved in politics and was an independent councillor on Newport City Council and once held the title of Mayor of Newport. Boxing career Trigg began boxing as an amateur from the age of nine and fought to a high standard winning both Welsh and British amateur titles, his British champion medal was awarded to him by Field Marshal Montgomery. During his time in National Service, Trigg continued to box. Trigg's professional career began in Wales, fighting mainly in Cardiff, though he trained out of Newport managed during this time by Colin Waters at Newport Sporting Club. John Trigg Ester Library
The John Trigg Ester Library is a small nonprofit library, located in Ester in the U.S. state of Alaska. The library has approximately 6,000 volumes on its shelves with more than 15,000 in storage, and is constructing a new library building. The library design is for the farthest-north Passive house structure in North America. Phase 1, the thermal storage tank, is completed and the library is seeking funding to proceed on to Phase 2, the building shell. The library is open to the public, and is supported by grants, fundraising, and memberships. Most members come from the Ester area; dues are by donation, with a $10 per year minimum. Members help guide the library in setting goals, elect a board at the annual membership meeting, and may run for membership on the board. Trigg County, Kentucky
Trigg County is a County (United States), county located on the far southwestern border of the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census, the population was 14,061. Its county seat is Cadiz, Kentucky, Cadiz. Formed in 1820, the county was named for Stephen Trigg, an officer in the American Revolutionary War who was killed at the Battle of Blue Licks, now in Robertson County, Kentucky. It was a victory for British and allied troops. Following the Prohibition era, Trigg continued as a prohibition or dry county until 2009. That year the county's voters narrowly approved a referendum to repeal the prohibition on alcohol sales for off-premises consumption. Stephanie Joy Trigg (born 29 March 1958) is an Australian literary scholar in the field of medieval studies, known in particular for her work on Geoffrey Chaucer. She is on the Council of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, having been elected a fellow in 2006. Michael Scott Trigg is a former American football quarterback and head coach in the Arena Football League (AFL). He played college football at East Texas State University. Early years Trigg lettered in football, basketball and baseball at Theodore Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, Texas. He earned All-City recognition in football and baseball. College career Trigg played college football for the East Texas State Lions from 1984 to 1988. He was redshirted in 1984. He became the starting quarterback in 1985 and completed 82 of 167 passes for 1,114 yards, 9 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
