Triennial Of Photography
The Triennial of Photography (''Triennale der Photographie'') is a festival of photography in and around Hamburg, Germany. Originated as an initiative of photographer and collector F. C. Gundlach Franz Christian Gundlach (16 July 1926 – 23 July 2021) was a German photographer, gallery owner, collector, curator and founder. In 2000 Gundlach created the F.C. Gundlach Foundation, and since 2003 he has been founding director of the House ..., currently director of Deichtorhallen Art Center, the Triennale takes place every third year since 1999. The 4th Triennial of Photography Hamburg took place from the 11th to the 20th of April 2008. The 5th Triennial of Photography, Hamburg came up with numerous events at the festival tent and at five partaking cinemas from March 31 to April 6, 2011. Deichtorhallen
The Deichtorhallen in Hamburg, Germany, is one of Europe's largest art centers for contemporary art and photography. The two historical buildings dating from 1911 to 1913 are iconic in style, with their open steel-and-glass structures. Their architecture creates a backdrop for spectacular major international exhibitions. In 2003 the southern hall was dedicated to the medium of photography, creating the House of Photography.
