Trevor Jones (Welsh Footballer)
Trevor Jones (27 January 1923 – March 1983) was a Welsh footballer who played as a winger in the Football League for Watford. Jones played for Aberaman and had trials at Cardiff City and Norwich City before moving to Plymouth Argyle as an amateur during the 1947–48 season. He signed as a professional in May 1948, but moved on to Watford without appearing in the League. Jones joined Watford in August 1949. He made 16 appearances, scoring three goals, during the 1947–48 season, including a goal in Watford's FA Cup win against amateur club Bromley on 26 November 1949. He was released at the end of the season. Rear Admiral Trevor Norman Jones, is a retired senior officer in the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). He served as Deputy Chief of Navy from 2011 to 2013, Head Military Strategic Commitments from April 2013 to December 2014, and the Commander Joint Task Force 633 from December 2014 to January 2016. Naval career Jones joined the RAN in January 1978 under the Navy scholarship scheme to pursue a Seaman Officer Career. After graduating in 1980 from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Science, he undertook professional seaman officer training in HMA Ships ''Melbourne'' (II), ''Supply'' and ''Derwent'' and HMAS establishments ''Watson'' and ''Cerberus''. Trevor Jones (cricketer)
Archibald Trevor Maxwell Jones (9 April 1920 – 17 June 2005) played first-class cricket for Somerset from 1938 to 1948. He was born at Wells, Somerset and died at Padstow, Cornwall. Jones was a lower-order right-handed batsman and an occasional leg-spin bowler whose cricket fame rests almost entirely on a single innings played for Somerset when he was just 18 years old. Cricket career Jones made his first-class debut in the match against Nottinghamshire at Taunton in June 1938 while still at school and in his first innings, batting at No 8, he made 40 and put on 60 with John Barnwell, the highest stand of the innings. Wisden reported that he "made some nice strokes". He retained his place in the Somerset side over the next month, but did not make many runs. Trevor Jones (born October 1, 1997) is a Canadian rower from Lakefield, Ontario. Jones is a two time World U23 champion in the single sculls event. Career Jones won the single sculls at the 2017 and 2018 World Rowing U23 Championships. He missed competing at the 2019 version due to injury. At the 2019 World Rowing Championships, Jones finished in 14th place with Matt Buie in the double sculls, after training with his partner for only a month. After the Worlds, Rowing Canada re-evaluated the crews racing and decided to move Jones back to the single sculls boat.
