Treaty Of Paris (band)
Treaty of Paris is an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The band consists of five members: Phil Kosch (guitar), Dan Wade (guitar/vocals), Alex Maier (bass/vocals), Chris Insidioso (drums) and Mike Chorvat (vocals, guitar, tambourine). History Treaty of Paris formed in January 2005 when Michael Chorvat, Dan Wade, Scott Hoeft, and Brandon Capetillo of the local Chicago band Empyrean recruited Phil Kosch from the local Chicago band Saraphine. The name Treaty of Paris was originally a fake name the band used at their first show with Kosch in order to downplay the fact that he was leaving his current band, but they decided to keep it because it was easy to remember. Jack's Mannequin was an American rock band formed in 2004, hailing from Orange County, California. The band originally began as a solo project for Andrew McMahon, the frontman of Something Corporate. The band was signed to Maverick Records and released '' Everything in Transit'' in August 2005, peaking at 37 on the ''Billboard'' 200. ''The Glass Passenger'' was released in 2008 on Sire Records, sold 49,000 copies in its first week, and peaked at number eight on the ''Billboard'' 200. '' People and Things'' was released October 4, 2011. Shortly afterward, it was announced that McMahon would discontinue releasing music under the name Jack's Mannequin, choosing to release music under his own name henceforth. Fun (stylized as fun.) is an American pop rock band based in New York City. The band consists of Jack Antonoff (of Steel Train and Bleachers), Andrew Dost (formerly of Anathallo), and Nate Ruess (then-former lead singer of the Format). Fun formed in 2008, and their debut studio album, ''Aim and Ignite'', was released in 2009 to moderate commercial success. The band rose to prominence with the release of their second album, '' Some Nights'', in 2012. Warped Tour
The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the tour’s main sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Vans toured Australia in 1998-2002 and again in 2013. Although Vans continued as main sponsor and lent its name to the festival, other sponsors also participated, with stages or other aspects of the festival being named after them on occasion. Warped Tour was conceived by Kevin Lyman as an electric alternative rock festival, but later began focusing on punk rock music. Yellowcard is an American Rock music, rock band that formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1997 and was based in Los Angeles beginning in 2000. The band is recognized for having a distinct sound in their genre, primarily due to the prominent use of a violin in their songs, and are best known for their singles "Ocean Avenue (song), Ocean Avenue", "Only One (Yellowcard song), Only One", and "Lights and Sounds (song), Lights and Sounds". WKQX (101.1 FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Chicago, Illinois, featuring an alternative rock format known as "Q101". Owned by Cumulus Media, the station serves the Chicago metropolitan area. WKQX's studios are located in the NBC Tower, while the station transmitter is located atop the John Hancock Center. In addition to a standard analog transmission, WKQX broadcasts over two HD Radio channels, and is available online. Something Corporate (also known as ''SoCo'') was an American rock band from Orange County, California, formed in 1998. Their last line-up included vocalist and pianist Andrew McMahon, guitarists Josh Partington and Bobby Anderson, bassist Kevin Page and drummer Brian Ireland. Following their formation, Something Corporate recorded demos that were eventually released as an independent, studio album entitled ''Ready... Break''. Soon after, they were signed to MCA Records but were released under the Drive-Thru Records banner for their debut EP ''Audioboxer''. Andrew Ross McMahon (born September 3, 1982) is an American singer-songwriter. He was the vocalist, pianist and primary lyricist for the bands Something Corporate and main songwriter for Jack's Mannequin and performs solo both under his own name as well as his moniker, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. On April 30, 2013, he debuted his first solo work, an EP titled '' The Pop Underground'', which was followed by his debut album '' Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness'', released on October 14, 2014.
