Transnistria
Transnistria, officially the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR), is an unrecognised breakaway state that is internationally recognised as a part of Moldova. Transnistria controls most of the narrow strip of land between the Dniester river and the Moldovan–Ukrainian border, as well as some land on the other side of the river's bank. Its capital and largest city is Tiraspol. Transnistria has been recognised only by three other unrecognised or partially recognised breakaway states: Abkhazia, Artsakh and South Ossetia. Transnistria is officially designated by the Republic of Moldova as the Administrative-Territorial Units of the Left Bank of the Dniester ( ro, Unitățile Administrativ-Teritoriale din stînga Nistrului) or as ("Left Bank of the Dniester"). Vadim Nikolaevich Krasnoselsky (russian: Вади́м Никола́евич Красносе́льский; ro, Vadim Nicolaevici Crasnoselschii; born 14 April 1970) is a Transnistrian politician who is the 3rd and current President of Transnistria. Tiraspol
Tiraspol or Tirișpolea ( ro, Tiraspol, Moldovan Cyrillic: Тираспол, ; russian: Тира́споль, ; uk, Тирасполь, Tyraspol') is the capital of Transnistria (''de facto''), a breakaway state of Moldova, where it is the third largest city. The city is located on the eastern bank of the Dniester River. Tiraspol is a regional hub of light industry, such as furniture and electrical goods production. The anthem of Transnistria, titled "We Sing the Praises of Transnistria",, Moldovan Cyrillic: Слэвитэ сэ фий, Нистрения; russian: Мы славим тебя, Приднестровье, My slavim tebja, Pridnestrovje; uk, Ми славимо тебе, Придністров'я, My slavymo tebe, Prydnistrov'ja was written by Boris Parmenov, Nicholas Bozhko and Vitaly Pishchenko, and composed by Boris Alexandrovich Alexandrov. 2015 Transnistrian Census
The 2015 Transnistrian census was organized in the unrecognized state of Transnistria in 2015. It was held after Moldova, internationally recognized as the owner of the state's territory, made a census in 2014. Census results According to the census results, Transnistria's population was of 475,373 people in 2015. This represented a population decline of 14.47% (or nearly 80,000 people) since the 2004 Transnistrian census, which is an amount similar to the population of the second largest Transnistrian-controlled city, Bender (Tighina). Aleksandr Nikolayevich Rozenberg (russian: Александр Николаевич Розенберг; born 18 October 1967) is a Transnistrian politician serving as the Prime Minister of Transnistria since 30 May 2022. Biography Aleksandr Rozenberg was born on 18 October 1967 in Ladyzhyn, present day Ukraine. He graduated from the Pridnestrovian Energy College in 1986 with a degree in electrical engineering and from the State Agrarian University of Moldova with a similar degree in 1994. He began his career working on a state farm in 1986, and then worked as the Minister of Justice. In March 2012, Rozenberg began to run a local bakery in the Transnistrian capital of Tiraspol. A number of polities have declared independence and sought diplomatic recognition from the international community as sovereign states, but have not been universally recognised as such. These entities often have ''de facto'' control of their territory. A number of such entities have existed in the past. There are two traditional theories used to indicate how a sovereign state comes into being.
