Traditional Clothing Of Kosovo
Traditional clothing (folk costume) is one of the factors that has differentiated this nation from neighboring countries, dating back as far as the Illyrian era.Halimi-Statovci, pp.9–10. The evolution this attire has undergone, has been in service of modernization and contemporary style, however, the fundamental symbols and motives by which these garments are designed tend to resemble Illyrian antiquity.Halimi-Statovci, p. 81. The materials and the traditional ways by which these clothes have been made throughout history have not changed much. The utilities which are used in the creation of these clothes are characteristically Kosovar, called ''vegjë'' or ''vek'', which is a loom (resembling the English spinning jenny and flying shuttle). Podujevo
Podujevo ( sr-Cyrl, Подујево), Podujeva, or Besiana ( sq-definite, Podujevë or ''Besianë''), is a city and municipality in Kosovo's Pristina District. Llap (region)
Llap Region ( sq, Krahina e Llapit, lit=Region of Llap; sr, Лабско поље, Labsko polje, lit=Plain of Lab) is a region located in the north-eastern part of Kosovo. Llap in the broadest sense includes the watershed of the Llap river. The Lab water collection begins in the mount of Kopaonik in the north and west, and ends by joining the Sitnica river in Lumadh, municipality of Vushtrri, in the north-west of Prishtina. The topographic watershed of the Lab covers an area of 945.4 km. This area approximately corresponds to the administrative territory of the municipality of Podujevo in the current division of Kosovo. Podujevo as a city in the Llap region is the most important economic, political, administrative, educational, cultural and health center. Balkan Wars
The Balkan Wars refers to a series of two conflicts that took place in the Balkan States in 1912 and 1913. In the First Balkan War, the four Balkan States of Greece, Serbia, Montenegro and Bulgaria declared war upon the Ottoman Empire and defeated it, in the process stripping the Ottomans of its European provinces, leaving only Eastern Thrace under the Ottoman Empire's control. In the Second Balkan War, Bulgaria fought against the other four original combatants of the first war. It also faced an attack from Romania from the north. The Ottoman Empire lost the bulk of its territory in Europe.
