Tough Love
Tough love is the act of treating a person sternly or harshly with the intent to help them in the long run. Description Bill Milliken described tough love through the expression, "I don't care how this makes you feel toward me. You may hate my guts, but I love you, and I am doing this because I love you." Milliken strongly emphasizes that a relationship of care and love is a prerequisite of tough love, and that it requires that caregivers communicate clearly their love to the subject. Maia Szalavitz believes, based on her own experience, that this may be difficult, since some people experiencing addiction consider themselves unworthy of love and find it difficult to believe others love them. In most uses, there must be some actual love or feeling of affection behind the harsh or stern treatment to be defined as tough love. For example, genuinely concerned parents refusing to support their drug- addicted child financially until he or she enters drug rehabilitation would be sai ...

The Law (The Law Album)
The Law is the first and only album from the Paul Rodgers led group The Law (English band), The Law. History The Law was formed when Paul Rodgers met Kenney Jones in a nightclub in London and decided to put a band together. The two teamed up with different supporting musicians in order to give Rodgers freedom to pursue whatever music style he felt like. Unlike his previous projects, in which he wrote or co-wrote most of the material, Rodgers relied heavily on outside writers to write songs for the album (such as Phil Collen, Chris Rea and Bryan Adams); the only chart topper of the album, "Laying Down the Law", was written by Rodgers himself. The album features notable appearances by David Gilmour, Bryan Adams and Chris Rea. The song "Stone" was previously recorded by Rea for his album ''Shamrock Diaries'', and Rea (as well as Gilmour) plays guitar on this version. The track "Miss You in a Heartbeat", written by Phil Collen, was later recorded by Collen's band Def Leppard as a B-sid ...

Babylon And On
''Babylon and On'' is the seventh album released in September 1987 by the British new wave group Squeeze. History Eric "ET" Thorngren produced the album, along with Glenn Tilbrook. The group officially expanded to a sextet with the addition of former Soft Boys member Andy Metcalfe; a bassist in that group. But here, Metcalfe was used as a second keyboard player (behind Jools Holland). However, despite being pictured and billed as a full member of the band, the track-by-track musician listings included with this album reveal that Metcalfe only played on three songs: "Tough Love", "The Prisoner" and "Some Americans". Metcalfe left Squeeze before their next album was recorded, although he worked again with Glenn Tilbrook during his solo years. The album peaked at number 14 in the UK Albums Chart, the highest ranking there for a Squeeze album, aside from greatest hits compilations, until '' Cradle to the Grave'' (2015) reached number 12. The album was released in September 1 ...
