''Toto of Arabia'' ( it, Totò d'Arabia, es, Toto de Arabia) is a 1965 Italian-Spanish adventure-comedy film directed by . It is a parody of ''Lawrence of Arabia'' and of spy films. Plot Toto, a former Italian military service who works as a servant at the British Intelligence Service, is promoted to secret agent with the name of Agent 00Ø8 in order to convince the ruler of Shamara, Sheikh Ali El Buzur, to yield oil to UK. Bruno Corbucci
Bruno Corbucci (23 October 1931 – 7 September 1996) was an Italian screenwriter and film director. He was the younger brother of Sergio Corbucci, and wrote many of his films. He was born in Rome, where he also died. The vast majority of his directorial efforts are lowbrow comedies. He also directed '' I figli del leopardo'', a parody of '' Il gattopardo''. His biggest success came with the long-running "Nico Giraldi" series, which starred Tomas Milian as a foul-mouthed Roman policeman. His 1971 film '' Io non spezzo... rompo'' was shown as part of a retrospective on Italian comedy at the 67th Venice International Film Festival. Luigi Pavese
Luigi Pavese (25 October 1897 – 13 December 1969) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Born in Asti, Pavese started his career in 1916 working as a silent film actor at 19 years of age. He then began his theatrical debut in 1921 and eventually worked his way up to becoming a film actor by the 1930s. He appeared in more than 170 films between 1916 and 1969. By the time World War II ended, Pavese's popularity as an actor increased. He often portrayed characters with certain professions such as clerks, lawyers, soldiers, officers and notaries in comedy films and made frequent collaborations with other actors such as Totò, Aldo Fabrizi, Walter Chiari, Alberto Sordi, including his younger brother Nino Pavese.
