Tonto (Metabarons)
Tonto is the fictional robot servant of the Castaka family since the time of Aghnar, and the narrator of their tale in the Metabarons comic book. Expanded History The ''Metabarons Universe Guide'', a publication meant to help roleplayers get more into the Metabarons characters, gives some more insides on the personal history of Tonto. Once a defective robosurgeon (showing major flaws in his less-than-accondiscendent personality) was issued by Hospital Planet's production lines, and scheduled for dismantling. Othon met him while the little robosurgeon was treating Bari, his crippled son. Unable to wait for the surgery results, Othon forced Tonto into let him see his son, and the droid, displaying his unpredictable judgment, not only agreed, but swore eternal alliance to his new master's family, gaining his protection and his safety in the process. Metabarons
''The Metabarons'' or ''The Saga of The Meta-Barons'' is a science fiction comic series relating the history of a dynasty of perfect warriors known as the Metabarons. ''The Metabarons'' series was written by creator Alejandro Jodorowsky and illustrated by Argentinian artist Juan Giménez. The series, published by Humanoïdes Associés, is complete, the last volume having been released at the end of 2003. The first appearance of a Metabaron (chronologically the last of the Metabarons) was May 1981 in the ''Incal'' comic book series. This was followed by a series of prequels that concerned this character's origin, presented as the narration of the android Tonto to the android Lothar, of his masters' achievements. The series takes place over the course of several generations, and chronicles the life of each of the five Metabarons. Robot
A robot is a machine—especially one programmable by a computer—capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically. A robot can be guided by an external control device, or the control may be embedded within. A domestic worker or domestic servant is a person who works within the scope of a residence. The term "domestic service" applies to the equivalent occupational category. Comic Book
A comic book, also called comicbook, comic magazine or (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually, dialogue contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form. "Comic Cuts" was a British comic published from 1890 to 1953. It was preceded by "Ally Sloper's Half Holiday" (1884) which is notable for its use of sequential cartoons to unfold narrative. Role-playing or roleplaying is the changing of one's behaviour to assume a role, either unconsciously to fill a social role, or consciously to act out an adopted role. Mindwipe
A mindwipe is a fictional memory erasure procedure in which the subject's memories and sometimes personality are erased. Often those are replaced by new memories more useful to those who are carrying out the mindwiping. It is a more thorough form of brainwashing. It is sometimes used as an alternative to capital punishment, or to make the subject more useful to the system. The mindwipe can be performed by a hypnotic or magical ability, or by an electronic device. It is often coupled with stories where the characters have amnesia, although the latter concept includes cases that occur naturally or by accident instead of the result of a deliberate procedure.
