Tongue 'n' Cheek
Tongue 'n' Cheek were a British electro music group formed by Robin Achampong and Delroy Murray of Total Contrast, that were primarily popular in the UK club scene between 1987 and 1992. The group's members were Conor Col Henry, Maureen Mason and Junior Williams. Overview All of the group's eight singles charted on the UK Singles Chart, however they were more noticeable on the UK Dance Chart. All of the group's four singles released by EMI entered the top ten of the UK Dance Chart with their album reaching No. 3 on the UK Album Dance Chart. The group's biggest UK chart hit single was "Tomorrow", which spent weeks in the charts and peaked at No. 20. It was remixed by Chicago DJ Frankie Knuckles. UK Albums Chart
The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. Imagination were an English trio, who came to prominence in the early 1980s. They had hits in 28 countries, earning four platinum discs, nine gold discs, and more than a dozen silver discs around the world between 1981 and 1983. Glen Goldsmith
Glen Goldsmith (born 17 August 1965) is a British singer and songwriter. His own hit songs have included "I Won't Cry", "Dreaming", "Save a Little Bit" and "What You See Is What You Get", which feature on his album ''What You See Is What You Get''. Geraldine Carroll (born 21 August 1968) is an English singer. She had a string of hits during the 1990s, including the UK top ten singles, " It's Too Late" (1991), " Don't Be a Stranger" (1993), "The Perfect Year", (1993), and "Escaping" (1996). The Pasadenas were an English R&B/pop group. They had two UK top 10 albums and eight UK top 40 hit singles, including " Tribute (Right On)" (1988), "Riding on a Train" (1988) and " I'm Doing Fine Now" (1992). Career The group scored a UK number five hit, and topped the charts in the Netherlands in 1988 with their initial release, " Tribute (Right On)", which paid homage to soul musicians Diana Ross & the Supremes and Aretha Franklin. Bell Biv DeVoe, also known as BBD, is an American music group from Boston, Massachusetts, formed from members of New Edition, consisting of Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe. The band is best known for their debut album, the multi-platinum selling ''Poison'', a key work in the new jack swing movement of the 1990s that combined elements of traditional soul and R&B with hip hop. ''The Hitman and Her'' is a British television dance music programme hosted by Pete Waterman and Michaela Strachan. The programme was produced for Granada Television and ran from September 1988 until December 1992 on ITV's Night Network.
