''Domani è troppo tardi'' (internationally released as ''Tomorrow Is Too Late'') is a 1950 Italian melodrama film directed by Léonide Moguy. For this film Pier Angeli won the Silver Ribbon for best actress. The film was also awarded Best Italian Film at the Venice Film Festival. Léonide Moguy
Léonide Moguy (14 July 1899 – 21 April 1976) was a Ukrainian, French and Italian film director, screenwriter and film editor. Moguy was born Leonid Mohylevskyi () in Odesa, Russian Empire in 1899 in a Jewish family. He lived in Soviet Ukraine until 1929, in the United States in the 1940s, and in Italy from 1949 until his death. He was active in film between 1927 and 1961. His work has influenced American director Quentin Tarantino, who discovered him while writing the script for ''Inglourious Basterds'', and named a character after him in ''Django Unchained''. Career Mohylevskyi was born in Odesa in a family of a merchandise worker. During World War I, he was a soldier of the 51st Lithuanian infantry regiment of the Imperial Russian Army in Simferopol. After the war, he was a medical student and worked part-time at the film studio of Dmytro Kharytonov who came from Moscow to Odesa. Lauro Gazzolo (born Ilario Gazzolo; 15 October 1900 – 2 October 1970) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Born in Nervi in Genoa, Gazzolo began his career on screen in 1938 starring in the comedy film ''The Document'' and became more successful after the end of World War II. A popular character actor, he appeared in at least 106 films and played many roles between 1939 and 1966. Among his most popular filmography included '' The Jester's Supper'', ''Four Steps in the Clouds'' and ''The Band of Honest Men''. Lina Marengo (19 January 1911 – 6 February 1987) was an Italian character actress. She played in over 30 films, and was most active between 1938 and 1943. Biography Marengo was born in Rome and her film debut was in '' Casta Diva'' (1935), directed by Carmine Gallone. Characterized by a slightly hoarse voice, she was mainly active in humorous roles, and was often typecast as a spinster or a gossiping woman. She played Serafina in '' Domani è troppo tardi'' (1950), directed by Léonide Moguy, and starring Vittorio De Sica, Lois Maxwell, Gabrielle Dorziat, and Pier Angeli. The film won Best Italian Film at the Venice Film Festival. She was in four films directed by De Sica, including ''Teresa Venerdì'' (1941). Luciano De Ambrosis (born 28 March 1937) is an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography De Ambrosis was born in Turin, the youngest of four siblings. His father worked for the Italian automobile manufacturer Fiat. He made his film debut at only five years old, playing the lead role in Vittorio De Sica's acclaimed film ''The Children Are Watching Us''. He went on to play the protagonist in many other films through the next six years. He acted infrequently on-camera afterwards but maintains a successful career as voice actor.
