Tomorrow's Love
''Tomorrow's Love'' is a 1925 American silent comedy film directed by Paul Bern, written by Charles Brackett and Howard Higgin, and starring Agnes Ayres. Pat O'Malley, Raymond Hatton, Jane Winton, Ruby Lafayette, and Dale Fuller. It was released on January 5, 1925, by Paramount Pictures. Plot As described in a review in a film magazine, Judith (Ayres) marries Robert Stanley (O'Malley), they go on a honeymoon, and for a time they are very happy. However, by the end of the first year she has become irritated by his stubbornness and petty fault-finding. An open window causes him to catch a cold, but he still goes to work anyway in the rain. His car breaks down and an old friend, Bess Carlysle (Winton), a vamp, happens along and takes him to her apartment. There she makes him take a hot foot bath and gives him whiskey for his cold. Paul Bern
Paul Bern (born Paul Levy; December 3, 1889September 5, 1932) was a German-born American film director, screenwriter and film producer, producer for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), where he became the assistant to producer Irving Thalberg. He helped launch the career of Jean Harlow, whom he married in July 1932; two months later, he was found dead of a gunshot wound, leaving what appeared to be a suicide note. Various alternative theories of his death have been proposed. MGM writer and film producer Samuel Marx believed that he was killed by his Common-law marriage in the United States, ex-common-law wife Dorothy Millette, who jumped to her death from a ferry two days afterward. Dale Fuller (actress)
Dale Fuller (born Marie Dale Phillipps; June 17, 1885 – October 14, 1948) was an American actress of the silent era. She appeared in more than 60 films between 1915 and 1935. She is best known for her role as the maid in ''Foolish Wives''. Early life Marie Dale Phillipps was born in Santa Ana, California, on June 17, 1885. She attended convent schools in Los Angeles and Chicago. Fan magazines from the time claimed that she attended and graduated from Mills College, and Myrtle Gebhardt reported that Fuller lost her family at 19. Fuller said family illness brought her to California, where she decided to act. Career In 1908, she performed as a soubrette in the comedy ''The Trouper''. She then joined the cast of Harry Bulgur’s ''The Flirting Princess'', a musical revue, in 1910 and toured with it off and on throughout San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, and Rhode Island. Lost Film
A lost film is a feature film, feature or short film in which the original negative or copies are not known to exist in any studio archive, private collection, or public archive. Films can be wholly or partially lost for a number of reasons. Early films were not thought to have value beyond their theatrical run, so many were discarded afterward. Nitrate film used in early pictures was highly flammable and susceptible to degradation. The Library of Congress began acquiring copies of American films in 1909, but not all were kept. Due to improvements in film technology and recordkeeping, few films produced in the 1950s or beyond have been lost. Spec O'Donnell
Walter D. "Spec" O'Donnell (April 9, 1911 – October 14, 1986) was an American film actor who appeared in more than 190 films between 1923 and 1978. He worked frequently for producer Hal Roach, often appearing in silent comedies as the bratty son of Max Davidson or Charley Chase. His sound-era roles were mostly uncredited bits, often as bellhops, newsboys, and pages; he was playing adolescent roles well into his twenties. He has the unusual distinction of playing the same role (a newsboy) in both an original film and its remake: ''Princess O'Hara'' and ''It Ain't Hay''.
