Tom Dutton (American Football)
Tom Whited Dutton (March 22, 1893 – December 1, 1969) was an American college football player. Early years He attended Minden High School but did not play on the school's football team. LSU Dutton was a prominent guard for the LSU Tigers of Louisiana State University. He was thrice selected All-Southern. James Dwyer showed him the sport, and even used Dutton for a "kangaroo play" in which back Lawrence Dupont would crawl between Dutton's legs; supposedly very effective in short yardage situations. Dutton was later a key member of the university's Board of Supervisors, which hired and fired football coaches, and president of LSU Alumni. He is a member of both the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Louisiana State University Athletic Hall of Fame. Arcadia, Louisiana
Arcadia is a town in, and the parish seat of, Bienville Parish in northern Louisiana, United States. The population was 2,919 at the 2010 census. Arcadia has the highest elevation of any incorporated municipality in Louisiana. Arcadia's name commemorates the Ancient Greek region of Arcadia. History In 1934, bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde were killed near Arcadia in a shootout. Their bodies were brought for embalming to a furniture store in Arcadia which also served as a funeral parlor. Lawrence Dupont
Lawrence Herbert "Dutch" Dupont (December 22, 1891 – April 5, 1955) was a college football player. He was a prominent quarterback for the LSU Tigers of Louisiana State University from 1910 to 1913. He was elected to the LSU Hall of Fame in 1937. Prairieville, Louisiana
Prairieville is a census-designated place in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is south of Baton Rouge and north of Gonzales. Prairieville is an expanding bedroom suburb of Baton Rouge. Its name is derived from the once plentiful pastures and prairies that were visible from Highway 73 (Jefferson Hwy.) and Airline Highway, which is now covered with development. Prairieville started off as a quiet community with few people. In recent decades, Prairieville has benefited from migration out of Baton Rouge, with new residents particularly drawn to the area by its high-performing public schools and low crime rate. Irving Pray
Irving Rudolph Pray (December 25, 1886 – August 27, 1948) was an American football coach. He served as the head football coach at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont from 1913 to 1914 and Louisiana State University (LSU) for part of the 1916 season and for full seasons in 1919 and 1922, compiling a career college football coaching record of 11–20. Pray was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was born in Natick, Massachusetts and died in Alexandria, Louisiana.
