''To Release Is to Resolve'' is the fifth album by American heavy metal band Byzantine, which was independently released on April 7, 2015. Out of four members of this band, only two returned from their previous album, lead vocalist Chris "OJ" Ojeda and drummer Matt Wolfe. The first song of this album, "A Curious Lot", was streamed on February 3, 2015. Byzantine is an American heavy metal band from Charleston, West Virginia, that was formed in 2000. As of March 2016, the band consists of front-man and co-founder Chris "OJ" Ojeda ( rhythm guitar and vocals), Brian Henderson (guitar), Matt Bowles ( drums) and Ryan Postlethwait (bass guitar). The band has released three studio albums on Prosthetic Records along with two independent albums. Groove Metal
Groove metal is a subgenre of heavy metal music that began in the early 1990s. The genre achieved success in the 1990s and continued having success in the 2000s. Inspired by thrash metal and traditional heavy metal, groove metal features raspy singing and screaming, down-tuned guitars, heavy guitar riffs, and syncopated rhythms. Throughout the band's career, they have released ten full-length albums and have evolved through a succession of sounds, all in their main style of industrial metal. Over the years, Fear Factory has seen frequent changes in its lineup, with lead vocalist Burton C. Bell being the only consistent member for 31 years until his departure in 2020. Other than guitarist Dino Cazares, there are no original members left in its current lineup.
