Tivoli City Park ( sl, Mestni park Tivoli) or simply Tivoli Park () is the largest park in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Tivoli is an eastern suburb of Cork (city), Cork in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Tivoli is in the Dáil constituency of Cork North-Central (Dáil constituency), Cork North-Central. A station on the former Cork and Youghal Railway served the area between the 1860s and 1930s. The area is home to a number of bed and breakfast establishments and the Silver Springs Hotel. The Cedrus, cedar trees, still growing in the area, were reputedly planted by Sir Walter Raleigh, who lived there briefly. The village, which was incorporated in 1872 from parts of Upper Red Hook Landing and Madalin, is the northernmost settlement in the county, located in the northwestern part of the town of Red Hook. The Tivoli Nature Preserve, also Tivoli Park, in Albany is the largest urban nature preserve in the Capital District. History The land now comprising the Tivoli Preserve was originally owned by the Van Rensselaer family as part of the patroonship of Rensselaerswyck. In 1844 the Tivoli Hollow Railroad was built from Fuller Road to the Albany Lumber District through the Tivoli Hollow and the northern end of the future park. In 1850 the city of Albany purchased the land in order to dam the Patroon Creek to form a reservoir for the public water system. In 1851 dams were constructed across Patroon Creek forming Upper and Lower Tivoli lakes, the upper lake was for storing and the lower for distribution.
