''Tired of Tomorrow'' is the second studio album by American shoegaze band Nothing. It was released on May 13, 2016, by Relapse Records. It is the first Nothing album to feature bassist Nick Bassett, the guitarist of Whirr. Critical reception Brandon Stosuy of ''Pitchfork'' praised the album's "invitingly deep sound", describing it as "familiar but new; varied but consistent; full of ambience but sturdy". Nothing (band)
Nothing is an American shoegaze band that formed in 2010. The band self-released several EPs before signing to Relapse Records. They released their debut studio album, ''Guilty of Everything (Nothing album), Guilty of Everything'', in 2014. The follow-up album, ''Tired of Tomorrow'', was released on in 2016. Nothing's third studio album, ''Dance on the Blacktop'', was released in 2018, and their fourth studio album, ''The Great Dismal'', was released in 2020. History Nothing founder Domenic "Nicky" Palermo was previously a member of the hardcore punk band Horror Show. The short-lived band only released a pair of EPs through Jacob Bannon of Converge (band), Converge's Deathwish Inc. label during its existence. Horror Show was put on hold in 2002 when a 20-year old Palermo stabbed a man during a fight between two rival gangs and spent two years in jail for aggravated assault and attempted murder; Palermo claimed self-defense. Rough Trade (shops)
Rough Trade is a group of independent record shops in the United Kingdom and the United States with headquarters in London. The first Rough Trade shop was opened in 1976 by Geoff Travis in the Ladbroke Grove district of West London. Travis reportedly took the name from the Canadian art punk/ new wave band Rough Trade. In 1978, the shop spawned Rough Trade Records, which became the label of bands from The Smiths to The Libertines. In 1982, the two separated and the shop remains an independent entity from the label, although links between the two are strong. At the same time, the shop moved from its original location on Kensington Park Road round the corner to Talbot Road. In 1988, a shop opened in Neal's Yard, Covent Garden.
