The Tindastóll men's football team, commonly known as Tindastóll, is an Icelandic football team based in Sauðárkrókur. It is part of the Tindastóll multi-sport club. Sauðárkróksvöllur () is a football stadium in Sauðárkrókur, Iceland. Sauðárkróksvöllur is an Icelandic open-air stadium that has a standing spectator capacity of about 2,500, but no permanent seating. It opened in 2004, and has a grass surface. It was built with a combination of public and private funding for the Icelandic Games held in the summer of 2004. Sauðárkrókur () is a town on the Skagafjörður in northern Iceland. It is the seat of both the Sveitarfélagið Skagafjörður ('Municipality of Skagafjörður') and the Northwestern Region. Rúnar Már Sigurlaugarson Sigurjónsson (born 18 June 1990) is an Icelandic professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga I club FC Voluntari. He started out his senior career at local team Tindastóll, after which he went on to compete professionally in the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Kazakhstan and Romania. Rúnar recorded his full debut for Iceland in November 2012, in a 2–0 friendly win over Andorra in which he scored. Eyjólfur Gjafar Sverrisson (born 3 August 1968) is an Icelandic former footballer and former coach of the Iceland national football team. He is the father of Hólmar Örn Eyjólfsson, also a professional footballer. Football Playing career Club career Eyjólfur started his career as a striker at local team UMF Tindastóll and moved to VfB Stuttgart in 1989. He played for Stuttgart until 1994 and became a German champion in 1992. After five seasons, he moved to play in midfield for Beşiktaş J.K. in Turkey and became Turkish champion with the team in 1995. He left them at the end of that season and changed to Hertha BSC, where he helped securing promotion to the Bundesliga in 1997 and won the DFB-Ligapokal in 2001. Max Touloute (born 27 April 1990) is a Haitian footballer who last played for Florida Tropics SC in the Major Arena Soccer League.
