''Al Fajr'' (Arabic الفجر; ''The Dawn'') is an independent Arabic-language daily newspaper published in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Founded in 1974 the daily is one of the oldest publications in the country. History and profile ''Al Fajr'' was launched by Obaid Humaid Al Mazrooei in 1974. Mazrooei was also the first editor of the daily. The publisher of the paper is Dar Al Fajr Printing, Publishing and Advertising which was founded in 1975. Al Nahyan Family
The House of Nahyan ( ar, آل نهيان, Āl Nohayān) are one of the six ruling families of the United Arab Emirates, and are based in the capital Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Al Nahyan is a branch of the House of Al Falahi (Āl Bū Falāḥ), a branch of the Bani Yas tribe, and are related to the House of Al Falasi from which the ruling family of Dubai, Al Maktoum, descends. The Bani Yas came to Abu Dhabi in the 18th century from Liwa Oasis. They have ruled Abu Dhabi since 1793, and previously ruled Liwa.
