Tim Nelson (musician)
Cub Sport are an Australian pop group formed in Brisbane in early 2010. Founding mainstays are Zoe Davis on keyboards, bass guitar, lead guitar and vocals, Tim Nelson on lead vocals and keyboards, Sam "Bolan" Netterfield on keyboards and vocals, and Dan Puusaari on drums. They have released four studio albums, '' This Is Our Vice'' (March 2016), ''Bats'' (September 2017), ''Cub Sport'' (January 2019) and '' Like Nirvana'' (July 2020). ''Like Nirvana'' is their highest charting release, peaking at No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Nelson and Netterfield married in August 2018. Falls Festival
Falls Music & Arts Festival (commonly known as Falls) is a multi-day music festival held annually in Lorne (Victoria), Marion Bay (Tasmania), Byron Bay (New South Wales) and Fremantle (Western Australia), Australia over the New Year's Eve and January period. The festival hosts contemporary music performances, dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and other art forms. Camping is available and all locations have nearby beaches which are either walking distance or a short bus ride away. Artists playing at the festival include rock, hip hop, indie music, electronic music, blues and roots. The Falls festival in Byron Bay features a rave party hidden behind a washing machine in a laundromat. Like A Version
''Like a Version'' is a weekly segment on Australian youth radio station Triple J. It involves Australian and international artists playing two songs live in the Triple J studio, one of their own songs (an "original") and then a cover version, hence the name of the segment. The title is wordplay on the Madonna song " Like a Virgin". It was created by Mel Bampton as part of the ''Mel in the Morning'' program. The segment was later moved to Robbie Buck's Drive program, and then to the Breakfast Show. Due to the intimate nature of the studio, the performance is often acoustic or otherwise stripped-back, however some bands have stretched this concept. The segment has grown in popularity over the years, leading to the release of compilation CDs featuring the best covers. Some particularly well-received covers have also made it into the Triple J Hottest 100. Ultralight Beam
"Ultralight Beam" is a song by American recording artist Kanye West from his seventh studio album ''The Life of Pablo'' (2016). The song features vocals by R&B singers The-Dream and Kelly Price, rapper Chance the Rapper, gospel singer Kirk Franklin and a ten-piece choir, with additional vocals by Natalie Green and Samoria Green. It was first performed live on ''Saturday Night Live'' in February 2016. The song, heavily influenced by soul and gospel music, is about West's faith in God. Its recording process, as described by producer Derek Watkins, took place over multiple jam sessions, where some of West's regular collaborators, including Mike Dean, were involved. Other individuals who participated included Watkins, producer Swizz Beatz and singer Justin Bieber, whose contributions were omitted from the final recording.
