"Till We Meet Again" is an American popular song. The music was written by Richard A. Whiting, the lyrics by Raymond B. Egan in 1918. Written during the Great War, the song tells of the parting of a soldier and his sweetheart. The Machine (band)
The Machine is one of the oldest U.S. Pink Floyd tribute bands. Formed in 1988 by Tahrah Cohen and Joe Pascarell, the band has performed many shows around the world. The Machine began as a cover band who played gigs local to the Rockland County, NY area and did not play Pink Floyd Music exclusively. In 1989, they were approached by a talent agent and it was suggested that they perform full-time. They seemed to garner such a delighted response from their audiences that the band's reputation continued to grow and soon they became one of the forerunners of the tribute band phenomenon. ''Don Messer's Jubilee'' was a folk musical TV variety show produced at station CBHT in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was broadcast by CBC Television nationwide from 1957 until 1969, after almost two decades in various formats on CBC radio. Taking its name from band leader and fiddler Don Messer, the half-hour weekly program featured Messer and his band "Don Messer and His Islanders", as well as a guest performer. Tetuzi Akiyama (Akiyama Tetsuji) (born 13 April 1964) is a Japanese guitarist, violinist, and instrument-maker. Akiyama formed the improvisation group Madhar in 1987, and the classical ensemble Hikyo String Quintet in 1994 (which also included Taku Sugimoto on cello). In 1995, Akiyama and Sugimoto formed a guitar duo, and played at venues in New York City, Chicago, and Detroit. During this time, Akiyama was also a member of Keiji Haino's Nijiumu outfit.
