Thomas Sewell (Australian Neo-Nazi)
Thomas Sewell is an Australian neo-Nazi and convicted criminal. He is the leader of the National Socialist Network, the European Australian Movementneo-Nazi: * * * * * * and founder of the Lads Society. The groups led by Sewell focus on promoting white supremacy and far-right activism in Australia. He is known for associating with other prominent neo-Nazis and for controversial public stunts such as cross-burning. In 2017 Sewell attempted to recruit the perpetrator of the 2019 Christchurch mosque shootings into the Lads Society. In May 2021, Sewell was arrested by counter-terrorism police in Melbourne's east and faced a Melbourne court over an alleged armed robbery in Victoria's Cathedral Range. Lads Society
The Lads Society is a far-right white nationalist extremist group founded by several former members of the United Patriots Front (UPF) in late 2017, with club houses in Sydney and Melbourne. The Lads Society came to national prominence after it staged a rally in St Kilda, Victoria, targeting the local African Australian community. Attendees were seen making the Nazi salute and one was photographed brandishing an SS helmet. In 2017, the group's leader, New Zealand-born Thomas Sewell asked Brenton Harrison Tarrant (the perpetrator of the 2019 Christchurch mosque shootings) to join the Lads Society, but Tarrant refused. Cathedral Range (Victoria)
The Cathedral Range (Taungurung language, Taungurung: Nanadhong) is a mountain range that is part of the Great Dividing Range in Victoria (Australia), Victoria, Australia, located in Cathedral Range State Park. The range is formed from a ridge of upturned sedimentary rock, consisting mainly of sandstone, mudstone and Conglomerate (geology), conglomerates of the Devonian Period. This has given the range steep sides, and a narrow razorback ridge. The higher plateau on the eastern boundary of the park includes the nearby Lake Mountain (Victoria), Lake Mountain cross country ski area. Much of the park and adjoining forests stills shows the damage from the Black Saturday bushfires in 2009.
