Tom O'Reilly (Fermanagh Politician)
Tom O'Reilly is an Irish Republican politician. O'Reilly first stood as a Sinn Féin candidate for Fermanagh District Council in 1997 and was first elected in 2001. He was re-elected in 2005 and 2011. At the 2003 Northern Ireland Assembly election, he was elected in Fermanagh and South Tyrone, although he chose to stand down at the 2007 election. Tom O'Reilly (Cavan Politician)
Thomas P. O'Reilly (6 August 1915 – 12 February 1995) was an Irish Gaelic footballer, politician and farmer from County Cavan. He was born at the Derries Upper, Killeshandra, County Cavan. His father was John O'Reilly, who played as goalkeeper on the Cavan county football team, Cavan county team and his mother was Sarah Anne. Gaelic footballer O'Reilly played for Cornafean GAA, Cornafean and the Cavan county football team, Cavan county team from the early 1930s until the mid-1940s, and was acclaimed as one of the country's greatest midfielders for much of that period. His footballing ability and his large build earned him the name "Big Tom". His brother John Joe O'Reilly (Gaelic footballer), John Joe O'Reilly was also a noted Cavan footballer. Thomas O'Reilly (Newfoundland Politician)
Thomas O'Reilly (ca. 1839 – February 21, 1897) was a trader and political figure in Newfoundland. He represented Placentia and St. Mary's in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly from 1865 to 1869 as a Conservative. He was born in Placentia, and later attended St. Bonaventure's College in St. John's, originally returning to Placentia after graduation to work as a teacher. O'Reilly was defeated when he ran for reelection as a representative in 1869. He served as a magistrate from 1877 until his death in Placentia in 1897. He founded the local Star of the Sea Society in 1876 and was its president until his death. Tom O'Reilly (rugby League)
Tom O'Reilly is a Papua New Guinean former professional rugby league footballer who represented Papua New Guinea in the 2000 World Cup. Playing career O'Reilly played for the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Brisbane Rugby League, and was part of their first premiership since 1965 when they defeated the Wests Panthers in the 1994 grand final. He also represented the Queensland Residents. O'Reilly played for the Gold Coast Chargers in 1997 and 1998, playing in 34 matches including the club's final game in first grade which was a 20-18 loss against Cronulla. In 2000, O'Reilly transferred to Oldham ( Heritage № 1099) in England. After the 2000 World Cup he had trials with the Salford City Reds. He joined Warrington Wolves in September 2001, after a trial there. He also played for the Bramley Buffaloes, and the Sheffield Eagles.
