Thomas Jacob (luger)
Thomas Jacob (born 11 November 1965) is an East German luger who competed from the late 1980s to 1990. He won the gold medal in the mixed team event at the 1990 FIL World Luge Championships in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. A luger steers by using the calf muscles to flex the sled's runners or by exerting opposite shoulder pressure to the seat. Racing sleds weigh for singles and for doubles.
