''This Is Arashi'' (Japanese: ) is the seventeenth studio album by Japanese idol group Arashi, released through J Storm on November 3, 2020. It was the group's final recording before entering an indefinite hiatus on December 31, 2020. It was preceded by and includes the singles " Brave"; " Turning Up"; their first song primarily in English, "In the Summer"; "Kite"; their first entirely English song, " Whenever You Call"; and "Party Starters". "Do You...?" served as the lead song upon the album's release on November 3. The limited edition of the album includes a second disc with all songs from Arashi's 2020 digital EP ''Arashi Reborn Vol.1'' and the other "Reborn" re-recordings of their earlier tracks, as well as a DVD or Blu-ray featuring the music videos for the singles. Arashi
is a Japanese boy band consisting of five members formed under the Johnny & Associates talent agency. The members are Satoshi Ohno, Sho Sakurai, Masaki Aiba, Kazunari Ninomiya, and Jun Matsumoto. Arashi officially formed on September 15, 1999, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and made their debut CD on November 3, 1999. The group was initially signed to Pony Canyon and released one studio album and six singles—beginning with their 1999 eponymous debut single before moving to the Johnny's subsidiary label J Storm in 2001, which was initially set up for their succeeding releases. Kōji Makaino
is a Japanese pop music composer, arranger, and musician. He is the elder brother of composer Shunichi Makaino. Biography Makaino was born in the city of Toyohashi, in Aichi Prefecture. His father Noboru was a music-lover and amateur composer, and he got Kōji to become familiar with musical instruments. He, his father, and his brother played together as a tango band. After graduating from Aichi Prefectural Commercial High School in Toyohashi, he studied music at the Naomi College of Music before dropping out in 1967 join a group called "Blue Sharm." The group only issued four singles, and broke up in 1970. Since 1972, when he arranged for Hideki Saijo's album ''Chance wa Ichido'', he has worked in composition and arrangement. is a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter, record producer and illustrator who began releasing Vocaloid music under the stage name in 2009.
