''This Is It'' is the seventh studio album by American country music artist Jack Ingram, released in 2007. It is his second album for Big Machine Records. It features a cover of Hinder's hit single "Lips of an Angel", which Ingram released as a single, reaching No. 16 on the ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' Hot Country Songs charts with it. "Measure of a Man (Jack Ingram song), Measure of a Man" and "Maybe She'll Get Lonely", the second and third singles, respectively reached No. 18 and No. 24 on the same chart. Also featured are the singles "Wherever You Are (Jack Ingram song), Wherever You Are" and "Love You (song), Love You", both of which were the only studio tracks on the otherwise live compilation ''Live: Wherever You Are'', which Ingram released in 2006. Jack Owen Ingram (born November 15, 1970) is an American country music artist formerly signed to Big Machine Records, an independent record label. He has released eleven studio albums, one extended play, six live albums, and 19 singles. Although active since 1992, Ingram did not reach the U.S. Country Top 40 until the release of his single " Wherever You Are" late-2005. A number one hit on the ''Billboard'' country charts, that song was also his first release for Big Machine and that label's first Number One hit. Ingram has sent six other songs into the country Top 40 with " Love You", "Lips of an Angel" (a cover version of a song by Hinder), " Measure of a Man", " Maybe She'll Get Lonely", "That's a Man", and "Barefoot and Crazy". "Wherever You Are" is a song recorded by American country music artist Jack Ingram. It was Ingram's first Top 40 single on the U.S. '' Billboard'' Hot Country Songs charts. It was released in November 2005 as the lead-off single to Ingram's first album for Big Machine Records, '' Live: Wherever You Are''. Background "Wherever You Are" was originally slated to be recorded by Canadian country music artist Deric Ruttan, as well as the band Rushlow. In 2005, Scott Borchetta, who had just founded the Big Machine label, discovered the song, and recommended it to Ingram, one of the acts signed to his label. Ingram recorded it as one of two studio tracks for his otherwise-live album '' Live: Wherever You Are'', from which it was released as a single in late 2005. The Pop 100 was a songs chart that debuted in February 2005 and was released weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine in the United States until its discontinuation in 2009. It ranked songs based on airplay on Mainstream Top 40 radio stations, singles sales and digital downloads. History The Pop 100 was conceived by Michael Ellis and was first published in the ''Billboard'' issue of February 12, 2005. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data. Radio airplay, which, unlike sales figures and streaming, is readily available on a real-time basis, is also tracked on a Friday to Thursday cycle effective with the chart dated July 17, 2021 (previously Monday to Sunday and before July 2015, Wednesday to Tuesday). Todd Daniel Snider (born October 11, 1966) is an American singer-songwriter whose music incorporates elements of folk, rock, blues, alt country, and funk. Early career Todd Snider was born in Portland, Oregon, but was raised in nearby Beaverton, where he lived until he graduated from Beaverton High School in 1985. After high school, he moved to Santa Rosa, California, to attend Santa Rosa Junior College. He only lasted one semester, but while there, he learned to play the harmonica. With help from his brother Mike who bought him a plane ticket, Snider relocated to San Marcos, Texas, after leaving SRJC in late fall of 1985. Not long after he arrived in San Marcos, Snider saw Jerry Jeff Walker perform solo at Gruene Hall, a legendary dance hall in New Braunfels, Texas.
