The Presets
The Presets are an Australian electronic music duo of Julian Hamilton (vocals, keyboards) and Kim Moyes (drums, keyboards). Formed in 2003 and signed to Modular Recordings, Modular Records, The Presets released two EPs (''Blow Up (EP), Blow Up'', ''Girl and the Sea'') in advance of their debut album, ''Beams (The Presets album), Beams'', released in 2005 to positive critical response. After two years of touring, including as the Australian support for Daft Punk, the band's 2008 release, ''Apocalypso (The Presets album), Apocalypso'', debuted at number one on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Albums Chart, and went on to win six awards at ARIA Music Awards of 2008, ARIA Awards 2008, including Album of the Year. Zombie Nation is the project of German DJ and producer Florian Senfter. Zombie Nation's single "Kernkraft 400" was a worldwide hit. History The first Zombie Nation EP was released in the spring of 1999 on DJ Hell's label, International DeeJay Gigolo Records. A remix of the song "Kernkraft 400" on this debut release reached high chart positions all over the world, including number 2 in the United Kingdom. Jori Hulkkonen (born 28 September 1973), is a Finnish DJ and a producer of house music, originally from Kemi, Finland. Hulkkonen started his career in the early 1990s when he worked with Jukka Hautamäki, Tuomas Salmela and Ari Ruokamo for their own label Lumi Records. ''Apocalypso'' is the second studio album by Australian electronic dance music duo The Presets. The album was released by record label Modular on 12 April 2008 in Australia, on 13 May in the United States, and 2 June in the United Kingdom.
