"Think It Over" is a song by American rock band the Cars from their fourth studio album, ''Shake It Up'' (1981). It was written by Ric Ocasek. Release "Think It Over" first saw release on the 1981 album ''Shake It Up'', but following the release of the album, the song was released as a single in the United Kingdom and Australia. Backed with "I'm Not the One" (which later became successful in its own right), the single did not make a dent in the charts. The single was not released in the United States, as the track " Victim of Love" (also from ''Shake It Up'') received a single release instead. The Cars
The Cars were an American rock band formed in Boston in 1976. Emerging from the new wave scene in the late 1970s, they consisted of Ric Ocasek ( rhythm guitar), Benjamin Orr (bass guitar), Elliot Easton (lead guitar), Greg Hawkes (keyboards), and David Robinson ( drums). Ocasek and Orr shared lead vocals, and Ocasek was the band's principal songwriter and leader. The Cars were at the forefront of the merger of 1970s guitar-oriented rock with the new synthesizer-oriented pop that became popular in the early 1980s.
